Hello Shiny Crafty People and welcome back to the channel! Today I'm showing you how to use one kitchen towel, one potholder, one button, and one simple stitch to create a wonderful gift that can coordinate with the receiver's kitchen decor!
ITEMS USED:
1 kitchen towel ($1.25 at Dollar Tree)
1 Potholder ($1.25 for two at Dollar Tree)
1 Button (pennies)
Thread
Sewing Machine
Pins
Scissors (to cut off tags, if needed)
This was so easy to make and, if I'm not recording a video to explain them, I can typically make then in less than three minutes each.
Imagine making two of these for everyone who is having a house-warming or to bring to a BBQ for the person working the grill?

I got the same stove... haha. My mother would make the potholder into cheater glasses holder. I make them for cast iron pan holders.

I cut out a triangle from cardboard and folded fabric over it and stitched through the fabric and cardboard.

So my question is, can the towel be machine washed & dried, because of the cardboard in the button? Very ingenious idea, by the way!

Probably, but the button would probably deteriorate over time. But I just made the button cause it didn’t have a normal one handy. Just use a standard button. Works much better.
