Melbourne Airport is Australia’s second busiest airport and the main airport to serve the state of Victoria. Melbourne Airport is well connected to destinations in the Pacific and Asia!
The first half of this video was filmed in the summer of 2018 when I started to get into videography. It was so much fun looking back at these clips and seeing how different Melbourne Airport is now. One main thing I remember from back in 2018 was the Emirates A380 that did flights to Singapore in the afternoon. At the moment it has been retimed to an evening/night flight and is operated by a Boeing 777!
the second half of this video was filmed in 2021 when Australia only just began to ease travel restrictions and allow tourism again! You’ll see a lot of unique aircraft in this video that are not flying into Melbourne anymore on a scheduled basis, such as the silkway west 747, Philippine Airlines A321-200N, Guarda Indonesia Boeing 777 and many more that flew here for freight flights and also limited passenger services, requiring smaller aircraft, that have since been phased out or have seen bigger aircraft operate the route with the restrictions easing entirely throughout 2022.
I filmed this video with the goal of bringing Melbourne Airport to the aviation enthusiasts interested to see what Australia’s second busiest airport sees on a regular basis and to be able to enjoy it from the comfort of their own homes!
I hope you enjoy!
