Rubba Marty and I head to a coastal spot called Torere for a 2 night winter tent camp where we enjoy some good food, some camping serenity, go fishing, some ambient rain and cold frosts in the morning. We started and finished off the camp with a warming wood fire heated spa!
It doesn't get any better than that! Camping with the Doite tent

Kia ora Mike, I have been following you for sometime , came upon you on You Tube by accident and now I watch you often, I live in Sydney , I so enjoy your program because I can relate to a lot of things you show, I hope it inspires young families to get out there and do it. In fact I picked puha around my house had a boilup with brisket, Kumara, even fried bread, which I havent made for 20 plus years, I am 81 years old. I even did a search for the family who commercial grow Puha in Queensland, now that looks pretty impressive, but unfortunately the weather is not the best , but will get in touch when into summer. I must also say , you present well,look good. Handsome dude. Must ask, are you XArmy.Whakatane aye, the scenery is fantastic. Over the years Life gets in the way and we forget how beautiful Nature is. Love Mary

The old Doite lliama good tent with the storage vestibule off the front of it for storage or as you say extra room on a wet day. Quite funny that the other tent is from Kathmandu as Doite is the Chilean version of Kathmandu except they probably don’t discount as much and have some pretty nice stores. The doite tents normally have a heavier floor in them than a lot of in the market. With that last pole does it go in easier when all guy ropes are loosened fly pegs out as well as the floor strap then tighten everything to suit and see if that helps.

Mike dont get the green cans from Bunning's they go cold then flame is tiny get the zip ones from the warehouse they last longer cook faster and they seem to not go cold as much try it you'll see

Different kais on your adventures Mike 😋lovely weather except that rain shower🤷‍♀️😂 nothing like a heater to keep you warm even if it didn't rain so hard?!😮😊

Just to add my tent is from H&F its an Aspire 4 (I think) its got a floor area like a large pup tent but nearly 6ft headroom I can fit 2 coleman bunks in it with enough gap to be decent. Usually though its just the one bunk and a deck chair great for hunting I am too old to sit on the ground to pull on my hunting boots. The tent was cheap as, maybe 3 hundy.
