I didn't know that the Gaussian Blur method in the "Remove" field was equivalent to the "old" Unsharp Mask. Thanks for sharing this extra bits of knowledge! Great tutorial as always.

Fernando, there's nothing wrong with that method, but I never really used it much. I feel that I get more control with the methods I've shown in this video.

The best way in my eyes is sharpening in photoshop with the nbp ultra sharp plugin. Very sharp photos without any halos. I love it. It sharpens better than any topaz plugin

how about sharpening image using high pass filter?
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel 4 жыл бұрын
I don't use that technique often since it doesn't give me the control I want. As you saw with both examples each of the filters has a ton of sliders to control different aspects of the sharpening effect.

why not have options to always have a smart object all the time, in all photoshop vids there's always covert to smart object
@anuragsinha2636
@anuragsinha2636 4 жыл бұрын
It does not work in all scenarios+ smart object is not always necessary

@@anuragsinha2636 ahhh okey and those scenarios is what? just that all the vids is always -"you need to covert to smart objects"?
@anuragsinha2636
@anuragsinha2636 4 жыл бұрын
@ there are some filters or warps tool which don't work with smart object specifically i don't kno but it is.. Secondly smart object has a exclusive feature that if you change one of them all of them changes.. now that won't be required everytime.. so it's just work with the smart object
@anuragsinha2636

@ and not all of them tell to do so.. some of them directly apply it on the image destructively.. saves space in the layers tab there's isn't much load on the ram.. etc etc

I would never use sharping in LR, that is the worst on the planet, but I also not in ACR and even PS. If you need to sharpen there are much better ways (applications) like Sharpener Pro from NIK's (old version is free) But with the nowadays camera's a sharp image is easy to realise even with manual lenses and focus peaking. With a decent camera and lens you should be able to create sufficient sharpness otherwise you need to update your photography skills And remember, motion blur is NOT UNSHARPNES, a common made mistake !!
