What an amazing girl, great family. I complain about and dread every new day, with my severe mental health issues, and yet I have half the problems she has. I need to take a leaf out of her book and try to see the positive in every situation, every new day. An 8 year old has inspired a 46 year old to try to change for the better.

The thing I find sad about this whole thing is that this family has medical bills! I'm a UK resident and we have our incredible NHS! I worked out that had we lived in the USA my disabled daughter would have racked up a bill of some two million dollars +!! 😮😮 Here in the UK we pay taxes and National Insurance so that at the point of need, for a UK resident, the NHS is absolutely free, if you need medical care, you get medical care - end of!! I thank God every day that we DON'T live anywhere but the UK!! This lovely family needed this and more!! No-one should be charged financially because their child is sick and needs help...I send them my love and wish them well!!

I admire that anything your not sure about your willing to go and find out the experience òf the best place. Sorry that the pool had to be a bit smaller but so brilliant to provide a good quality equipment for them full access to the pool. Great work to everyone such wonderful help from the community xxx

I think this was made around 2008, so about 16 years ago. Today Brooke must be around 23 and Faith 20 years old. I hope this family is still solid and strong today, and everyone is still healthy and happy as they were in this show. Bless this family and everyone in this show who helped each others sincerely. You are all my angels on earth. Edit: Dang it, I just Googled their name and a p news came out: "Clerk of Courts records show Ginger Akers filed for a protection order for domestic violence against her husband April 14, 2010 after filing for divorce on March 5. Herzog said he wasn’t at liberty to give details of the case because of the domestic violence nature of the crime and because the case is still pending. Records show Greg Akers is not in the Butler County Jail. A contempt of court hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27 (2010)." The girls seems to be okay, I saw their picture as grown ups smiling side by side on each wheelchairs, I didn't see the brother though. I just stopped looking because the news already broke my heart. I just wish them all the best.

Hello to all Citizens, I was also born with APCA Heart Conditions too, and I can't have SEA FOOD while was growing up and I can't able to Crewed places and I can't travel out to all different countries and I was a Fpster Child hood and I was in and out of Doctors because I was a APCA HEART Conditions and I was Born with The APCA Heart Conditions and there is No Cuer with it but only Surgery can let me live with Air tubes in and out of me growing up and I hope I could spread my message to other sick kids and family too! In 2010 Ginger Aker filed for divorce. Although the home was in Greg's name is appears that Ginger remained living in the house. Sad to hear of the family breakup, but happy the girls appear to have remained living in the house.
