Greetings from Kuala Lumpur! I'm also in the process of rebuilding my father's old orange 1985 Honda Gyro X! We've had it since 1985, and it holds a special place in our family. There are fewer than 10 in Malaysia, so parts are incredibly difficult to find. My bike hadn't run for 11 years and was covered in grease, so I had to give it a thorough cleaning. Finding an original Keihin carburetor proved incredibly difficult. After searching high and low, I ended up with a compatible but mirrored carburetor from China. Fortunately, I managed to source brand new absorbers, cables, and brake shoes in Tokyo, even though they came at a premium. Very good job guys, thanks for sharing your restoration! Your story inspires me to keep pushing with mine.
