To be honest, if you are not a tanning technician, it is really difficult to tell the authenticity of leather products now. They have applied powder metallurgy technology to tanning in China, and even add spices to the powder in the process to make you think it is real. I once visited some factories. Tim is really smart and knows how to check the stitching of a wallet, which is also an important point in judging quality. Love Tim so much! You are a sunny boy, and bright color clothes really suit you and make you look more energetic! This is a great episode, thank you so much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

@@LukeDamant I would like to share more information: 1. That cooked egg is a tea egg, which is a traditional snack in Taiwan with a long history and can be found in every convenience store. It is cooked in a brine made from tea leaves, soy sauce and seasoning packets, giving the eggs a tea flavor and leaving brown patterns on the surface of the eggs that correspond to the cracks in the eggshells. There is no fixed standard for the seasoning package of tea eggs, but it generally includes Oolong Tea leaves or black tea leaves, Star Anise and Sansho Pepper as spices. Tea egg is a very healthy food, Luke, you don’t need to worry! 2. Letting fish eat the skin of people feet is very popular in various Asian countries now, but to be honest, there should be a limit to the size of the fish. I have never seen anyone using such a large fish in my country, haha!

Watching your videos, feeling like I'm also experiencing the foods! ❤ However, before watching the video, I noticed a comment, that someone is arguing not to compare Malaysian Sugarcane Juice with Bangladesh! I'm Bangladeshi, and I know it's not hygiene, however, in this video, when I came into the part of Sugarcane Juice, and saw a Man with Red Panjabi was drinking the juice, it seems like it's in Bangladesh 😅 I'm saying again, I'm not trying to justify, I know it's not hygiene in our country!

1:35 Petaling Street years ago used to a "real" Chinatown in the sense that the people here - residents and workers - were Malaysian Chinese. Now only part of the residents are Chinese, the rest foreign migrant workers, while the vendors almost all are migrant workers from Bangladesh like the one here.

The guy selling the jersey is honest, glad you tipped him. 40-60 for a jersey depending on quality is definitely local price. The wallet though not so much i think. And the seller definitely not malaysian. But that's why they say Malaysia truly asia, apart from the local malay, chinese, indian, there's plenty immirant worker from bangladesh,nepal,pakistan, indonesia.

@@LukeDamant you will find amazing gems - usually known by Malaysian living in aus :) many taste authentic but the price is one to one with Malaysia. For example, nasi lemak is RM12, and it would cost ~12AUD in aus.

It’s such a rip off. Many don’t know that the stalls that sell all these fake goods belongs to the same owners, they cover each other and have very powerful “background”. They are super rich.

@@keangwooichoo6138 yes, there was once I was comparing the prices with different stalls (like what Luke did), and one of them was laughing sarcastically and told me not to waste time, they are actually owned by same “gang” of owners and don’t mess with them. The food stalls are genuine though. I wonder , who will benefit from the high margin or extra money that the customers pay?
