I made a mistake when I said the indices on the quartz version are printed. Someone pointed out that they don't look it. So, I took a closer look and I think they are in fact engraved. Sorry about that guys.

Typical, my ideal model is between the two. Quartz with a salmon dial. The applied indeces are a must for that premium look (IMO). Great comparison video mate 👏

If the silver dial had radial brushing and the numerals were subtly blue (not even necessarily heat blued) then I think I would go with the silver dial ... As they are the salmon dials numerals pop more and the radial finishing makes it grab your attention more. Once on the wrist i actually liked the look of the silver dial more.

As others have said a mash up between the two would be ideal. Applied numerals like the salmon, simpler subdial like the silver. Perhaps hands and strap like the salmon.

The numerals on the quartz version look like they have been carved into the dial, a very nice effect. The strap on the automatic version is much nicer though. Personally I would go for the automatic version.

@@AlexanderB. Yes, they are. I made a mistake there. I've pinned a comment already about that. The strap on the automatic version is nicer, but the one on the quartz version isn't bad either.

Great comparison video, thank you. It's a tough choice! I think I really like the engraved numerals as quite unusual. Def prefer the auto handset as got lovely contours. Not sure which subdial or crystal I prefer. Altough the salmon is great I would have loved to have seen the silver quartz compared to the silver auto. Another review was really mesmerized by it as I think it's got like a crushed diamond platinum effect which sounds terrible but looks great apparently. Might go for that one😊

Are you sure the indices are printed on the quartz? From the way the light is playing off the edges it looks like they are engraved or embossed into the dial. Also I dislike the subdial on the automatic, It's not rotated like the rest of the watch (the 60 mark is in line with the top lugs), I know the original watch this is inspired by doesn't rotate the subdial either, but it feels odd to me.

Quartz version with applied indices would be perfect. For me it is the kind lf watch you only wear occasionally, so quartz would be ideal. Also you cant see the movement. But applied indices makes it look so much more premium.

You can have both colors with both movements - also as handwinded. I have this watches and they are so amazing. I have change the strap to a brown vintage racing strap and id look fantastic.

These both look great, but I wish they would forget the wonky dial from the original and just make these with a normally rotated dial. I have the centre seconds Miyota version and it is a great watch, if the quartz had a straight dial I would pick one up as well. Good comparison 👍

Great review mate . thanks for this video - I like the Automatic one with Salmon dial.. Actually there is a menchanical one.. thought of picking this up Quartz model in last sale.. i was confused and did not buy any.. what do you think? - Mechnical - is little thinner too..
