There are many quotes from Apostles and Prophets speculating on who the Two Witnesses will be. I lean more towards their collective interpretation of them being contemporary to their time rather than the idea that they will be Moses, Elijiah, etc. I further disagree with the video's promotion of these two as "possibilities". A careful reading of 3 Nephi 28 will shed greater light upon the calling and disposition of those who have been translated, specifically so that they "would not taste of death". This one characteristic alone would preclude ANY translated person from being one of the Two Witnesses, as they must be killed and have their bodies lie in the streets for 3 days.

I was listening to talks by Joseph Smith; he states that the two prophets would be Elijah and Enoch. The two prophets that was given great power. I can’t remember where I found them, but I know it was the discourses by Madsen Truman on Jospeh Smith here in KZfaq. I don’t know, but it would seem right to me, seems how they will keep the armies at bay, while the Jews are taught the gospel for 3.5 years.

This one is a blend of information about the two witnesses and then also my own personal speculation which I said multiple times is my own opinion. That being said, perhaps it shouldn't make the cut for the app? There are many other videos in there that have opinions and speculation. We try to ensure that is clear for inclusion but your point is valid. Even some lessons include professors understanding based on study but could still be their own interpretation and they may not say it. I have even seen apostles give conflicting doctrines from time to time, but nothing serious or foundational by any means. But if we went purely on "revealed truths" we would only have some general conference addresses in there. So I hope people use their gifts of discernment across all learning (in the app or otherwise) but we do try to make it high quality, trusted content.

The LDS church and all Christians teach resurrection not reincarnation. The doctrine is that because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, we will receive these same bodies back after death in an immortal perfected state never to die again. The only past life we have is our premortal life when we existed as spirits with God before we were born into the world and became embodied. This doctrine is exclusive to the LDS church. I pray that the holy spirit may guide you on your search for truth. :)

I have watched a lot of the nde and read several books and they mention of the pre-existence yes and even during their birth. I have not heard any of them having past lives. I know they all have a different experience because of the life they lived before they died. You hear some that did not even get to see the Lord and some did in Paradise. Some people I talk with I know to be truthful people , some only got to see Darkness and nothing else . Everyone will get to experience something different just like you want experience going through the same actions , 2 days in a row, everyday you have to accomplish something different, even if you have to plow a feel every day for a week before you plant. I have only heard one that got to visit in a very nice place because of their belief before they left and believing in Christ. I believe that most of these was good people that died. I have heard quite a few people that got to visit the more advanced areas, even visiting other worlds with people but only a few got to see the people. It all depends what your status is in the gospel in your understanding and knowledge of the truth. More importantly is that you pray for understanding and don't take every one of these videos as gospel because you never know when you will stumble over a counterfeit. And there are some counterfeits I have heard, they sound pretty unique but be cautious and listen to the spirit. The spirit will help you to know what percent of the video maybe flawed. Just don't take everyone as gospel Doctrine. A lot of good information is there, if you look back in the scriptures and the teachings of the church you will find much of this information already have been spoken throughout the years even in the D and C. Let the spirit help you gather all this information that has been taught throughout the years by our teachers prophet Sears and revelators ,I think then you will see a bigger picture. Just a caution again watch out for the counterfeits or maybe a little misinformation that may throw you off track a little. We have very little revealed about pre-existing or spirit world. However, I have read a book Glimpses Beyond the Death Door and they referred a lot to teaching of 18th century mystic Emmanuel Swedenborg. I started looking up his teachings and surprisingly he had a lot that resonated with the church teachings He actually has a very good explanation on reincarnation. He taught that reincarnation does not exist, but because spirit bodies are very connected with each other and communicate telepathically, often a person will see the memories of another spirit and they will perceive it as their own memories thinking they lived another life on Earth. Swedenborg however, taught, that spirits continue progressing in the spirit world itself after death moving from one community to another as they learn and evolve, which also resonates with what the church teaches. I think this mystic has the most clear explanation of past lives memories.

I too have read alot of NDE. As others have said there are alot of various experiences, I believe probably based on their life experiences and perspectives their accounts vary. I believe that there are many that are made up/fake and their reasons for writing them vary for whatever reason. But I believe the true ones have similar elements. I say read them and enjoy, many are faith promoting and give some of us great hope, but be careful they are not gospel so don't be decieved. "The devil will tell a thousand truths to tell one lie." That one lie may adversely affect your salvation more than the thousand truths. Just be careful. I love reading about NDE's myself.

I'm sure president Nelson knows exactly what is getting ready to blow up in our face and all of the hardship that's coming about if you don't have a strong testimony and faith in the Lord.
