People like this really piss me off. My husband and I were addict we were homeless. someone called CPS on us and CPS told us that they were about to take our children. we got our s*** together real quick got clean found jobs and got us into a house. we never pointed the blame at anybody else. and because we got our s*** together we never lost our kids. it has been 4 years now and we are doing better than ever. looking back we were very selfish choosing our addiction over our kids. but now I can honestly say we're giving our children the best life. we put our boxing gloves on and fight the world to get to where we are. there is no excuse why this woman has not had custody of her children in over 2 years.

@samw81007 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter what court she was in, she didn't lie so she wouldn't have gone to jail. The judge asked an open ended question and got an open ended answer. Q: Do you have any convictions, A: Yes I have theft convictions. She stated one of the convictions she had because the judge asked if she had any. She actually could have a case of bias against the judge due to her clear disgust at her her life has been led thus far. Stating that a person should be in jail when the court has already declared they've served their time is a violation of ethics policy. Using a persons prior convictions from a criminal court against them in a civil court is also a violation of ethics. In addition listening to only one persons side without any evidence to back up what that person says, is in violation of the law. You must have evidence to prove your case and the only evidence brought fourth was on the Plaintiffs past criminal history. This is a sad case of judicial bias at play!

kidjr27 religion - noun: 1.a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs. Its my opinion that your belief in Jesus being the son of God fulfils that definition. But hey, that's cool. It's all good. Really. I think I know where you're coming from. Whoever they are (and I'm sure drinking and driving is in all socio-economic groups), someone should speak up and discourage it - reminding everyone about the number of people killed by drunk drivers each year. If that doesn't work on the people (because everyone knows it's usually innocent people that are killed and not the drunk driver), then maybe reminding them that jail and loss of their money from lawsuits might not be as fun as drinking at a children's party. My father and mother were both neglectful addicts and my brother and I were both taken by CPS. Neither one of them have done anything to be in my life and I'm 35. When my dad died, I had a nervous breakdown for the father I never had. You love your parents. It doesn't matter what they do. You need a mom and dad and I've never had either. I've struggled my whole life just to exist in society. I've struggled with self worth. I've struggled with my weight. These kinds of parents destroy their children.

I still laugh at how long it took Brandy to figure out she got nothing, after she heard she got $700 but the other girl got $276+$500. Her "Administrative Assistant" job is definitely a state funded recovery project job ... Especially since she works 3 days and gets food?
@jonasswitzer92662 жыл бұрын
The defendant got $767, so Brandy “lost” $67 (the show pays the judgements, not the loser).

I mean depends on the case megan since it could be a victim of rape/abuse etc facing their perp. But in this case yea, crying over lost property and caring more about that seemingly than the kids what with leaving the 2 year old in the car when she was boozing or having a 2 year old at an party where adults are boozing it up.

You can tell the defendant was authentic cause she literally didn’t interrupt the plaintiff when she was being asked a question. I don’t know a single person to leave their child in a car and be without seeing distance (of the baby not the car). I hope they are both happy and healthy and on to a better life than we see here but damn. This made my heart hurt

If there's one thing I've learned from watching these court cases is that if you stay composed and don't speak when it's not your turn, you can just sit back and let your opponent dig their own grave just like this lady did. Of course what she did was really hard to defend so she needed to talk, but the defendant's cool composure really helped her situation. She only spoke when absolutely necessary.

I'm really loving how they both made a point to mention her staying there for a little over two weeks but yet they speak like she was there for months and nobody, judge or comment, seems to have picked up on this. This case was a crap show in multiple ways but the biggest problem of all was the extremely murky circumstances that didn't seem consistent at all.

@dnw0094 жыл бұрын
@@shannonr1923 It's the internet, you're not gonna find a lot of people caring for those that are a 7 felonies convicted person who left their child alone in a car during an party with adults where the adults are all drinking. If she is truly trying to rehabilitate her life I wish her the best with it, but that does not excuse her past behavior and crimes. Rather I hope those kids are raised by someone who will be there for them and provide for them since they are the only true innocent ones in this case.
