Today we are using Ricki's Cheesemaking Kit for Ricotta and Mozzerella, which we got from Central Street Farmhouse. You can check out their online store and get your own cheese making kit here:

Central Street Farmhouse also sells beer and wine making supplies, so give their website a visit and see all the cool products they sell! www.centralstreetfarmhouse.com
This cheese recipe is super easy and is fun for kids to watch as the curds float to the top of the milk. It only takes about 30 minutes to get a great batch of ricotta which yields about 3 cups.
The kit comes with everything you need to make MANY MANY batches of cheese (except for milk). It even has a thermometer and cheese cloth. If you are interested in cheese making but are unsure where to start, this kit is for you. I'm looking forward to trying the mozzarella next!
Make sure you check back next week to see what Susie makes with the ricotta she made! Spoiler alert: it's a cake.
We also have to give a shout out to CutezeeLuDesigns.com for not only the custom apron set, but Susie's new personalized towels... which came in VERY handy!
Head over to the etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/CuteZeeLuDe... and use the coupon code "Susie" for 20% off your order!
Additionally, if Susie is near hot things we try as best as possible to keep her in her kids sized oven mitts. They are under $10 and you should consider getting some for your kids if they are working with you in the kitchen.
