7:50 Im using FLH and direction of force on electrons is in opposite direction to positve charges. Im confused how to determine polarities in Hall effect

the direction of the force is the same, but when the majority charge carriers is positive, the force acts on the majority charge carriers and the charges get deflected towards the direction of this force, that plane becomes positive. if Majority charge carrier is electrons (negative) then that same plane becomes negative.

You are right the direction of force acting on electrons is opposite to that of positive charges (the direction in which the current is flowing). But be aware this case is valid when electrons are also moving in the same direction as the current. In this scenario, the electrons are moving in the opposite direction to the flow of current. Suppose that the positive charges were flowing in the direction of electrons, then if we apply FLHR the direction of force is opposite to the positive charges in the first case (those moving in the opposite direction), and the direction of the force on the electrons flowing in the same direction will be opposite, therefore being in the same direction to the positive charges of the first case. If it is confusing you can ask again I will try to explain in a different way. ThankYou

Wouldn’t electrons experience a magnetic force towards face DERQ? Since the middle finger in Fleming’s left hand rule represents the direction of velocity for a positive charge, not electrons

You are right about the finger convention, in this case refer to time stamp on 5:59 , the current is pointing INTO the face CDQP (front face) however the electrons will drift in opposite direction OUT of the face CDQP So with index finger (B) downwards, and middle finger (I) into the face CDPQ, the left thumb is pointed to the face CFSP, electrons experience a force towards CFSP, CFSP becomes negatively charged. Let me know if there are any confusions. :D
