Please don't microwave books... dry items (wool, brown paper bags, etc.) heat up FAST in microwaves and set fire pretty quickly. I've set socks on fire before from microwaving them. Not to mention, some books have metal in their ink, or plastic coated covers, which would both mess with your microwave. Stay safe!

Quick tip for if you need boxes for moving day: Malls usually have a big room, accessible from outside, where all the stores dump their recyclables (it may be further divided into cardboard, styrofoam, plastic, etc). Individual stores also may have an enclosed dumpster for their recycling. You can go and, depending on the mall/store, either help yourself, or ask, and they'll let you go and grab whatever boxes you need from them. Grocery stores and liquor stores used to give you boxes for free if you wanted them, but these days if they have them at all they seem to want to make you pay. Also, the boxes are more likely to be damp and/or sticky. Just be polite, and don't leave it messier than you found it. And if you're looking for small boxes (for particularly delicate items, or gifts, etc), dollar stores are the place to hit up; they get stuff shipped in the widest variety of sizes I've seen.

Another tip for laundry everyone! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS TAKE THE TIME TO CLEAN THE WASHER AND DRYER BEFORE YOU USE THEM!!! Especially if you’re someone like me who has sensitive skin, the molds and other detergents built up in the rings and in the barrels of the washers especially can make your clothes not only smell but make you itch! So just take a bunch of paper towels and sanitizing wipes (and gloves too if you’re grossed out easily) and clean it out! It just takes maybe 5 minutes if it’s an especially gross one but it makes all the difference!!!

Growing up my family used to keep plastic bags and we would use them for storing shoes for trips, and using it as a bag for dirty laundry. You can also use paper bags as trash bags, but make sure there's no liquid or it will leak.

My tip would be to make a spread in a bullet jornal or write everything ahead in a calendar regarding due dates. Of course you can write one thing on a mirror, but in reality there are a lot more of constant tasks. I have one list for writing down how much water etc. did I use, because I need to send it to my landlord. Then there is a table like "did I do ... this month" and I colour boxes for paying rent, changing sheets, reading at least one book (I"m trying to come back from a huge slump) or having a reset day

Don't leave a shower curtain open long term tho - let the shower air out, but remember to go back and close the curtain or the liner will get hella mildewy and slimy. also, the mesh bag is a lingerie bag - make sure you have one for your bras too. they will thank you. and don't ever put bras thru the dryer. if you have issues with dying elastics, hang dry your items with elastics - the heat from the dryer causes elastic to dry out much, much, much faster. marie kondo folding is a literal life changer. ps: love the hair color!

Moving tips! Especially if you live in the US for the first one Tip 1: **technically** you shouldn't do this, but no one is ever gonna be able to police you on it... Anyway! You can order boxes from the United States Postal service for FREE. They come in bundles of like 10 or 25 I think? And if I recall I think shipping is free as well. Tip 2: If you know you're going to be moving soon, start packing clothes as you fold your clean laundry! Just put the stuff you wanna bring right in the box instead of in the drawer. It saves you a step in moving your belongings a second time, and helps you pace out your packing to keep it from being last minute

For the plastic grocery bags, you can make them use even less space by folding them into small triangles. You can probably find tutorials online but basically fold the sides in until you have a rectangle that is about three inches wide (so long as it's neat it doesn't really matter. Bigger bags will be bigger and tiny bags will be smaller). Then fold one of the bottom corners up so you form a small right angled triangle at the bottom. Then fold that up so the bottom is straight. Keep going until the end, then fold the last bit in a triangle down to the opposite direction and fold that inside a little tuck. It will form a small triangle that will not come apart easily in a larger bag or drawer, but can unfold with very little effort, and takes up next to no space.

Being military, the WORSE thing about laundry was when you went to go put yours in before final formation and when you go to get your nice, warm, dry clothes out of the dryer you find out someone had taken your stuff out and put theirs in.

WAIT the half-masked face for face ID actually worked and I can't believe it!! It took a little bit of convincing for it to let me scan my face like that, but in the end it let me! Thank you so much!

For tax help, you can also sometimes contact your school's student life office. Some schools offer free tax help through the VITA (the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program or can usually direct you to where you can sign up for an appointment in your community.
