I’m from Thailand, and my favourite nostalgic (night-blooming) jasmine is in SL’s Fils de Joie. This fragrance has always been so special, close to my heart wherever I am. I find it mysterious, sexy, and exotic.

Night blooming Jasmine and Jasmine are totally different. I am from Kerala/India we have both plants. Man the fragrance of night Jasmin which we call nisha-gendha is so intoxicating and also spread across streets and houses & scents entire neighbourhood,. It creates a fantasy land like environment especially when moon is visible . just one plant I planted 2 years back!. I never liked the normal jasmine as I always got that dog poop smell from it.

My favorite jasmine perfume is Pure Poison by Dior. It smells so seductive and beautiful. I get compliments every time I wear it. I love the scent of the flower. I grew up in a place where you could take an evening stroll in the summer, and smell the night blooming jasmine in the air. The scent is very nostalgic for me since it takes me back to my childhood.

i just sampled Jasmin de Pays- absolutely incredible. Jasmine has such a strong place in my childhood memories, and this perfume is so beautiful, like a jasmine bush in a bottle. It feels almost not even like a "perfume" but more like a condensed essence of the beauty of jasmine. I love it.

I feel like maybe I’ve been lucky and never really bought a jasmine that was dirty or animatic but maybe I also just like all jasmine lol I grew up in Thailand we drink jasmine tea, put jasmine in drinking water and even wear jasmine flower crowns in our hair during celebrations. I have super strong scent memories with this one.

Agree，Jasmine to Asian people always related to tea. That‘s why Kilian’s Imperial Tea was so welcomed in our places. and Diptyque‘s Olene too. The sence of asian Jasmine to us is more pure and fresh，also with a glimmer of bitterness…

Favorite Jasmin fragrance? Easy, ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette, I blind bought a 30 mil bottle, immediately after trying it I ordered a 100 ml bottle, ashtrays and jasmin, smells like a 70's - 80's joint the day after, fantastic artistic scent! Absolutely need a bottle of Charlatan, and try many of the others. Great list, thank you Sebastian!!!

Great runway of jasmine scents! I’m actually using one of the most sweet and Honey twisted ones “Fils de joie” from Serge Lutens: definitely lasting nearly 24 h. Now I’m curious to have a taste of Maison Crivelli and Vilhelm ones

Right on time! You mention my favorite which is Jasmine Marzipane. Its actually my SOTD. I agree it is a little thin. I find myself topping off every two hours. Wishing an intense version was in the works. Looking into Jeroboam Bona to layer with JM as they share a few notes. Thanks for the video!

Hi Sebastian!! Thank you for this video. Jasmine is my favourite note and the one that got me into perfumes. My top 1 holy grail jasmine perfume is Serge Lutens A La Nuit. I think there is nothing like that perfume but it does lean feminine. It is a jasmine bomb so you have to love jasmine to appreciate it. I wear it often as a bedtime scent because jasmine can be soothing too. I live in Shanghai and often buy jasmine flowers here cause i love it so much. My second fave jasmine perfurme is VCA Reverie California. Love it! Mugler Alien i find it too artifical and it bothers me. Im always in the hunt for the best jasmine perfume so thanks for this list! Vanilla is my second fave note so appreciate if you could post an updated video on your vanillas ranked. Thanks!

I like fresh and delicate jasmine (especially when it reminds me of summer evenings in the Mediterranean). My favourite jasmine fragrances are both from Fragonard: Jasmin perle de the, and Fleur d’oranger. I find both equally uplifting and calming all year around. Mood changers for me. Great video, as always.

I fragrances on your recommendation. Please keep the videos coming I truly enjoy them I actually have on all notifications from all of your videos which for me is quite honestly extremely rare. I am a registered nurse I don't have tons of time to sit around watching videos but what I do is I watch your videos while I drive into the city everyday I have basically listened to them and always give you thumbs up and just really felt the need to say thank you and please keep the videos coming. Trust me ladies, Portrayal is beautiful and perfectly feminine, but doesn't smell overly girly. Its strong and lasts maybe 3 hours sillage cloud on me. I had a sample and I used the hell out of it😄

I thought that Portrayal vanished after the 3-4 hope mark too when I sprayed it on myself but, my wife wears it to work and I can immediately smell it on her when she gets back in the evening after a full day at work.

@@BenNCM I do, but I didn’t know what it was at first, that made me sick. First, it was Bloom by Gucci, then it was Velvet Vanilla by Mancera, which you wouldn’t think would be so heavy in Jasmine. It was after those two fragrances, when I finally figured it out and that was quite recent.

I only know 3 from your list, but Nuda veritas is my favorite. Such a lovely fragrance and I really like the 'watery' feel of it. I don't know if Pure gold by Montale fits the category, but it does have jasmine and neroli and apricot. It was my first niche fragrance and eventhough now I don't wear it as much, it has sentimental value and overall it's a nice feminine fragrance.

Xerjoff Al-Khat and ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette are my favorite Jasmine based fragrances with Amouage Opus IX and Mugler Alien Oud Majestueux not far behind. Highly recommended if you haven’t got your nose on them yet. Great list!

I love Jasmin fragrances on my wife. Her signature was Dior poison back in the day. We recently discovered Givenchy L’interdit on a sample haul and let me tell you this is an amazing Jasmin sexy bomb! Not sure if this was out when this review was done, but if you love Jasmin lady’s or men for yours; you’ve got to get your hands on this one and try it out.

Thank you so much for thhis Jasmine Guide. All my favourite perfumes have jasmine in them , I only discovered this recently! This is great so it gives me so many new ideas for perfume, I love the look of the azzura du apricot, Hermes le jardin too plus many more. My favourite perfumes are Scandal by jean paul Gautier, Pure XS paco Roxanne, lady million and kenzo Aqua to name a few. So this is great guide thanks and I will be following you for more ideas .

Another great jasmine dominant perfume is YES I DO by Etat Libre it has lily of the valley and orange blossom with notes of cocoa and marshmallow, potent and pleasant scent!!!

Ciel de Gum is indeed a fantastic creation from MFK. I was expecting to see Grandifloras Madagascan Jasmine atleast in the Top 5 and was surprised, that it wasn't in the list at all 😆.

I just ordered the most barnyard fragrance ever- Al Khatt oud+jasmine from Xerjoff. I think it’s the jasmine actually that creates the horse manure illusion, but it still smells great.

I grew up in northern Italy so jasmine were practically in every garden and courtyard around me. I think is one on my first scent memory, and I love it so much. Talking about perfumery I had many jasmine fragrances, from solifloral like Clair-Obscur by Keiko Mecheri (an absolute masterpiece), Sarrasins by Serge Lutens, and many italian artisanal creations, to punk-animalic version like the latest Out in the Open by A13. Long life to jasmine scents, guys out there don't be shy, make jasmine bloom on your skin.

So nice to see you mention Eau d'italie. I absolutely love their Fiore d' Fior which is also a Jasmine forward perfume. Out if hundreds of perfumes that I sampled that is the one that I liked the best for everyday wear. I wasn't aware of their Jasmibe Leather- I'll try it out asap 😊

I have more jasmine fragrances than I thought. One I would mention is Santa Maria Novella’s Gelsomino. I also have Gelsomino parfumo by Carthusia which is the extra it. Rodin has three versions of Rodin’s olio lusso EDT, Rodin Bis perfume, and Rodin olio lusso perfume.

I always felt Dior eau sauvage parfum was a dirty jasmine bomb. I found it hard to wear in the begining because of that but now its an addicting scent to me.

If you want more jasmine without too many other notes, I would add Bruno Acampora's gorgeous "JasminT"(both the oil and EDP) - stunning if you love a real jasmine! I would also add "Le Wild" by Chantecaille. Also Lust by LUSH if you like your jasmine heavy, sexy and of course Serge Lutens classic "A La Nuit"!

Jasmine yucatan by Ds and Durga is amazing! I recommend this one if you haven’t tried it

I avoid the tuberose, gardenia, lily of the valley and jasmine heavy fragrances so this list was very useful to me, albeit not in the way you thought it could be I'm sure. That being said, Sir Gallahad by Isabey and Fort & Manle;'s offerings in general are some of my favourites so there are always exceptions and I remain adventurous and open to trying unlikely fragrances. Thank you for another great video.

amouage portrayal woman is beautiful that’s why i have this. a man can wear this too. i love this so much, it’s a bit dirty but in a classy, sophisticated way. I cant explain it… it’s creamy for me and sweet with a touch of zing. maybe it’s the elemi or the tobacco. dont know.. the jasmine smells so yummy. some say it has tuberose in it. anyway it makes me wanna sniff myself all the time. i love the way it smells, i really smell unique. and it will get u compliments. i want to get my hands on the jasmine marzipan, nuda veritas and also MFK’s ciel de gum. i also wanna smell alien, i have never smelled it before and I know Mugler just died three days ago… hopefully i can buy this popular Alien one of these days.. thank u for this video! ❤️

I always compliments for jasmin marzipane!! There is Grand bal by dior it is a very strong jasmine frag; I am a jasmine lover but grand bal is too steong for me lolll

Jennifer Aniston’s original perfume is hands down one of the best jasmines I’ve ever smelled. It’s not fecal at all for people who fear jasmine for that reason. And it’s about $20ish. On the opposite spectrum, Nasomatto had a pretty good jasmine. Can’t remember if it was Narcotic V, because that might be a more tuberose one, but there’s another I forget the name of. I love the Hermes one - never thought of jasmine, but it’s beautiful regardless. Alien is wonderful, too.

Hi Sebastian, I enjoyed this video! Unrelated - I want to know whether you have a recollection of a wonderful fragrance of the early 1980’s called Lê Jardin by Max Factor ? It was such a fantastic fresh & floral fragrance ! It has been reproduced, I’ve bought of the re-produced fragrance but was very disappointed- is it possible that someone like your friend Angelo can produce a fragrance like Lê Jardin? Thanks
