I really love Vanessa's English lessons, she always makes them easier, I don't know why but she has her own method of teaching the language and that's why she is the best American English teacher I've ever seen. Those "difficult" English phrases are pretty useful, straightforward and truly necessary for having real life conversations no matter how casual, formal, informal or serious the context in question is. Thank you so much for your kind, encouraging and wonderful English lessons as always Vanessa. I wish you were here to help me improve my English skills to be more conversational, empathetic and smarter. ❤😊🌹

@@SpeakEnglishWithVanessa Thank you Vanessa! Wonderful channel! I have a question that has been bothering me for a long time. I did not know what I did wrong. My teammates got promoted and I said “congratulations” in my email. They just ignored my message. But they are usually polite people, at least superficially. I don’t know why they ignored me, I just wanted to be polite. Is that offensive to say “congrats” on your team members’s promotion? Thank you in advance for your reply.

5:44 The culprit is likely as simple as a clothing moth. You might be thinking, "There aren't any moths flying around my home." And it's probably true you haven't seen any. But clothing moths are nocturnal and do their work in the darkest corners of your home. Your closet or dresser drawers are prime breeding grounds. Those pesky holes in your sweaters, scarves and coats are a result of the adult moths laying eggs on your coziest goods. The eggs morph into larvae, which feed on natural fibers like wool, cashmere and silk. The larvae are so small that if you don't know what to look for, you could easily miss them. They are only about a quarter to one-half inch long and leave white stringy trails, similar to a cobweb When it comes to preventing moths, the easiest thing to do is wash or dry-clean clothes that are made out of natural fibers after each wear. The smallest bit of soup on your sleeve, saliva or even oil from your face could attract a moth and its eggs. Don't pack tight your sweaters. It's a much more inviting environment. Instead of stacking them on a shelf or putting them all in a drawer, separating them if possible. Hanging them all next to each other isn't ideal, either. If you do have to stack or pack your sweaters tightly, leave them in plastic. You can even try putting a garment bag that zips around your rack in the closet. Most of the damage occurs when you go to store your sweaters over the summer months. Before putting them into plastic bins or - even better - airtight Ziploc bags, be sure to wash each garment and inspect it for any holes. It is also suggested placing the items in the attic of your home, where temperatures can soar above 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, making it difficult for moths to survive. Of course, there's always the good old trick of using cedar in your closet, but be sure to replace it periodically. You can skip the moth balls, they really don't work. Now if you're wondering "How the hell does this guy know all this". Well, I just googled and pasted the result here😅

What teachers teach students for almost 6 years (Junior high and high school) in my country is choose an appropriate word out of some words.🤔 I think that is definitely an important thing. Hi Asif, Have you ever had something bad happen? Of course! Have you ever caused something bad to happen? Two weeks ago, a big snowstorm was coming, and my husband Dan knew that this was the moment. After waiting for almost 10 months, he had to do it. In March 2021, Dan built a beautiful cover for our deck so we could stay outside in the rain. But there was one essential part that he didn't add. He thought, "It's okay. I can add it later." Finally, 10 months later, he did it. Every roof needs a gutter. Do you know what a gutter is? It's like a tube that catches rain at the end of the roof so that water doesn't splash everywhere. Every time it rained, water splashed everywhere! But Dan had caused a problem. Because the deck cover was finished, he had to use a huge ladder to reach the gutter. Not only that
