Welcome to a new Spanish lesson! Today we will explore the 20 most important adjectives and how they are used in different situations.
00:01 "Grande": You can describe something as "grande" when it is large in size, like Pascal, who is big because of his imposing stature.
00:22 "Small": In contrast, "small" refers to something small in size. For example, Paula is small, but Nicole is even smaller than Paula.
00:42 "Fast": If something is moving at a considerable speed, like a fast car, we use this adjective.
00:57 "Slow": On the other hand, when something moves at a slow pace, like Paula walking, we use "slow".
01:12 "Tall": We use this adjective to describe something that has a great height, like a tall building.
01:33 "Low": In contrast, "low" is used for something that has limited height, like a low table that may be uncomfortable to eat at.
01:51 "Young": If someone has a youthful appearance and vitality, we say they look "young".
02:17 "Old": On the other hand, when someone shows signs of ageing, like the grandfather with his silver hair, we describe them as "old".
02:42 "Expensive": If something has a high price tag, like an expensive car, we use "expensive".
03:06 "Beautiful": "Beautiful" is used to describe something that is visually stunning and pleasing, like a beautiful sunset.
03:32 "Ugly": On the other hand, when something doesn't have an attractive appearance, like a spider, we say it's "ugly".
03:58 "Simple": If something is easy to understand or do, like a simple recipe, we use this adjective.
04:21 "Difficult": But if something is challenging, like learning a new language like English, we call it "difficult".
04:46 "Loud": When something produces a loud, powerful sound, like loud music, we use "loud".
05:05 "Silent": On the other hand, "silent" refers to something that doesn't emit noise, like a quiet car.
05:22 "Healthy": If something is beneficial to health, like healthy cheese, we describe it as "healthy".
05:48 "Sick": When someone is not feeling well and needs rest to recover, we say they are "sick".
06:07 "Clean": If something is free of dirt and clutter, like a clean room, we use "clean".
06:27 "Dirty": On the other hand, when something is stained or has dirt on it, we say it's "dirty", like dirty trousers.
06:42 "Happy": Finally, if someone radiates joy and happiness, like Mary with her smile, we say they are "happy".
