Clint just went to the Amazon rainforest to document every lizard, snake, turtle, crocodilian, and frog that he could get his hands on. These are the frogs and toads that he found at his first stop in the Peruvian Amazon, Madre Selva. You have never seen most of these before!

Hey Clint, is it possible to do a video of Grey/cope's tree frogs? I get a colony of them in my backyard every year and would love to know if they make good pets(And how to care for them, as there's very little information regarding these pretty frogs.) also, that rocket tree frog is amazing!

After seeing the cane toad in its natural environment, I understand why they have adapted to be so large! I've always thought they looked strange in environments in North America, but it looks perfectly at home in its natural environment.

My favourite thing about tree frogs are their big round toes so I really loved the gladiator tree frog because it had it's toes gripped around your finger and I just thought that was SO cute!

I LOVE that Smokey Jungle Frog!! So cute. I don't know who is more fun to watch.. the frogs or you Clint! You always have the joy of a child when you're out frog hunting... or snake or lizard hunting!! Herping.. yeah.. that's the word I couldn't remember!! His face is super cute

I LOVE THIS!! I love frogs SO MUCH!!! Also, cane toads make excellent pets in areas with a hard freeze every winter that ensures they won’t become invasive! I’ve got a cane toad and she is a WONDERFUL pet, and I got her from Florida where they’re invasive! I’d love a video on them

Okay, the Spotted Hatchet Frog is favorite and precious. Freaking TINY vertebrates always floor me. So complete and perfect but SO SMALLLLL. (The Wakari frog is probably the prettiest overall, though, true)

I loved seeing all the critters but the main takeaway I got from this video was that scientists had no clue what they were doing when they named a lot of these species lmaoooo " this is a toad but actually its not a toad"

That polka-dot tree frog was easily my favorite thing in the video. So freaking adorable and its colors are gorgeous whether it’s day or night. I have to wonder why they evolved that color-change to begin with, though.

I have a Cane toad!! Mine doesn't fit in my hands like that though. He is such a funny little chubbers. Actually has quite a personality to him. Loves his hornworms, tolerates nightcrawlers, rarely will eat crickets, and gave him 4 discoid roaches that i'm sure he never ate (it's been a month and i'm sure that they're still alive in there, i leave them in there on account of them being harmless to him)

I always think I want to add an amphibian to my collection. Then I think about care requirements and I realize that it's a bit trickier than my snakes and lizards. And with the current time commitment for my collection, I don't want to mess up and not provide proper care.

Check out pacman frogs! They're super easy to care for, come in different colors, are so fun to feed, and they have maximum chonk!

@@sockthesockpuppet the care is not difficult. It's just adding something else to my collection that requires daily maintenance. Don't want to miss spraying down an amphibian, especially things like frogs, salamanders, or newts...

You didn’t mention the polka dots fluorescent skin! Under black light they fluoresce in the most BEAUTIFUL way. I’m working with a group right now and raising my first batch of tads. Some of my favorite frogs!

The sharp nosed toad = The hog nose snake of the amphibian world. I wonder if the toads also use their pointy snoots to dig/burrow like the snakes do? I'm usually more of a reptile fan than amphibians for some reason but man it's so interesting the crazy diversity among frogs and toads! I may have to start studying up on amphibians more and grow my appreciation for them ^^

I have a cane toad. Biggest problem with them is they’re shy, and generally only come out of their hides when the lights are out. But she’s super easy to keep, I just need to change her water everyday since she likes to dump in it. She’s wild caught from Florida, so she was an invasive that was removed from where she didn’t belong.

I'm surprised when I noticed that the Amazon Sheep Frogs actually look like the Taiwan Rice Frogs(Microhyla heymonsi) we have there in Taiwan! Same family, different genus and different countries they live but almost look same!

I'm not a huge frog guy but this was super fun!! Tree frogs are probably my favorite, along with Glass frogs. Looking forward to a boa sometime on your trip ;)

I want that ranitomeya uakarii! ❤ Ok, I want a captive bred one, but it's so hard to find that locale from a reputable source, and there's Clint, casually holding what is arguably the single most stunning thumbnail dart on the planet. It's the standard locale, which is the most colorful, and each individual color outlined in inky black. So very pretty; it looks like it hopped off the page of a Lisa Frank drawing.

The Smoky Jungle Frog looks a little like an Australian genus called 'barred frogs'(Mixophryes). They aren't related as far as I know, so it would be convergent evolution I guess.

Great identification tips & visual descriptions, but I’d love a little more info about the specifies! Maybe adaptions or behaviors? Also the framing - same backdrop every scene - gets a little static. Maybe something to shake it up?

Im falling more in love with frogs every time I see them ,I'm just never had any.snakes ,venomous snakes and geckos are 30 years of my life but I'm to afraid to try frogs. I would love a bigger frog maybe red eye treefrog ,milk frog,glass frog ,dumpy frog something like them .....maybe 🤔 some day . Great video 👍👍👍

There are so many beautiful speses of frogs here! I fell in love especially with the three-striped poison dart frog, eyelashed forrest frog, common polka dot tree frog, gaint gladiator tree frog. Are any of these frogs available in the pet trade? I would love to house one of them if I can get hold of them in an ethical way.

Come to Florida. We have the Green Tree Frog, which have been seriously depleted by the pet trade, and we have the Cuban Tree Frog which can get quite large and excrete this mild irritating toxin that kinda smells like, Worcestershire sauce. I'm sure others would say it smells like something else but, that is closest aroma that I can compare it to.

Great job finding that wonderful variety of critters. I love frogs and toads. Someday, I will get a "Frog & Toad"' tattoo of them being friends. Anyways, speaking of water creatures, you should cover ducks soon so that we can figure out why they can be used to determine if a person is a witch lol. I got an orphaned baby duckling recently and it has been the most emotional and rewarding thing I have ever experienced.

Frogs! I absolutely adore frogs, I very much did enjoy this. Lots of super pretty frogs here. The Giant Gladiator Tree Frog or the Cane Toad might be my favorites though. I love the big chunky ones
