Caleb Williams has made a name making flashy, out of structure plays, but he absolutely has the ability to win from the pocket. In this montage, you can see some of Caleb's best plays in-structure.

I genuinely don't understand how every Bears fan isn't super excited for him. His release is quick. No looping throwing motion. Great footwork. Basically nothing we've ever gotten in a Bears uniform.

I'm excited for him! His release isn't just quick, I for one try to ignore the 'generational' label but that might be the most generational thing about him. Pause the video. At 5:37 he's not fully ready to throw, and at 5:38 the ball is *gone*

@@Mandy_39and Caleb's footwork is actually one of his weaknesses, but it's still better than Fields. The only things Fields has over Caleb are top speed, size, and deep ball accuracy. When Caleb actually sets his feet down, his deep ball accuracy improves, so he can kill two birds with one stone there. Size is the only thing he can't change, but 6'1" isn't small by any means.

Been saying this so much as well. Bears fans should be very familiar with Rodgers' game. The way he just calmly steps up it's like he has eyes in the back of his head. His mind is focused on the throw and the ball zips out of his hand. Oh and he's great at moving the chains cause when he steps up he's able to see that the middle is wide open to gain some yards himself and take the easy first down. So excited to see him play.

Everyone says Mahomes like. But he's really a combo of Brett Favre's arm, Aaron Rogers scramble ability and Peyton Mannings pocket awareness and movement- especially when he moves up into the pocket. What's most interesting is actually his set motion. Its Dan Marino's motion with a slight wind up. Hes not as big and tall as Marino so he can't have the same whip velocity that Marino had, hence the slight wind up. But the hip turn? Starts his Launches from on top of the shoulder straight out. He even torque's his body the same way. Follow through is perfection. Its like somebody took all the great QBs and took aspects of each and put it one body. If he can read D's at NFL speed he's going to be an absolute Monster barring injury.

Biggest difference between Caleb and Fields is that Caleb shuffles around the pocket while maintaining his throwing stance, which means he’s always ready to sling it. Fields more often than not will leave his throwing stance when facing pressure because his first instinct is to always run. BTW Caleb reposted this on X. He’s such a Bear 😂😂

Man does he have a fast release. I really hope he adapts to the nfl really fast. 🐻⬇️

I think what's understated is how well he attacks the middle. Reports make it sounds like only Drake Maye targets mid field.

As much as I love Fields, his pocket awareness was not one of his strong suits and I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion. This will be nice to see behind our offensive line

Well its hard to have strong pocket awareness when his OL ranked 31st or 30th in pass blocking v but that's fields fault too right? Just like his OL holding is his fault?

Goodbye, false narratives. Now, I see with my eyes that this young man will be the most polished quarterback the Bears have ever had. I guess you can also say Fields was the most exciting quarterback we have ever had, but JF1 was nowhere near the passer that Caleb Williams is, and his ability to make quick decisions and my gosh, what form and release wow, wow, wow out of the guy three steps back one hitch and gone whoa watch out we got ourselves a quarterback he just looks NFL ready bd
