Spending 5 days in Kyoto we count down the best top things to do. The hotel we stayed at is linked below. Everything from visiting temples and shrines such as classics such as the Golden and Silver Temple to specific streets and districts in Gion and Higashiyama. We also touch on day trips such as Nara and how to have the perfect day in Arashiyama with its Bamboo Grove, Monkey Park and unmissable Hozugawa River Cruise. Transport and Hotel accommodation is also discussed.
👉* Recommended HOTEL. The one we stayed at has NOW CLOSED. This one is NEXT DOOR, and rated as "Superb". Great transport links - almost everything in this video was one bus or train away: www.booking.com/hotel/jp/kyom...

@SuitcaseMonkey
@SuitcaseMonkey 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the lovely comment! In terms of the bamboo grove, it’s basically just a path that is always open. So there is no entry. So you can go there whenever you want and there’s technically no queue. Just lots of people usually. It isn’t the end of the world though. It’s still enjoyable during the day when it’s busy like when we went. It’s just if you want that photo with just you... thanks again.

kyoto was capital for 4 century, and quite not destroyed, contrarly to tokyo destroyed by 1923 eq/fire and 1945bomb, so for discover old japan you need to go kyoto: i least 4 packed day, theres too much to see, so see the most spot. North: ryonaji (oldest zen garden) -kinkanji (gold temple) North east: silver garden, philospher path, East kyomindera and stuff around, rent yukata or kimono depending season for roam is popular too. Center: nijo-jo, kyoto gosho. South: nara/inari=1day nara only 40min train. i think NW zone is more for family/kid monkey i also recommand hotel in osaka, its cheaper and less than 30min of kyoto, and that add lot stuff to do there too. if you have a tourist train pass ! around kyoto in less than 1hour train, you have: hikone one of oldest castle at lake biwa, and Nara south, and of course osaka/kobe
