These are excellent tips for people brand new to the game. Reading the comments, I never realized there were so many professionals out there with so much constructive insight. They are probably the same 'skilled' players that throw 5-year-old tantrums when a ref comes to check them.

So true, but poor ref'ing is also to blame. I've been a field manager for a year and I am always pushing myself and my refs to be more strict with the teams. You practice like you play and if we don't call wiping or out of bounds calls we do them no favors when the tournament comes around. So to all the speedball refs out there; I know you're all pretty friendly with your teams, but be STRICT with your calls. Don't let them get away with anything, if they're good guys they'll appreciate it.

Had a ref check me in a tournament and pull a major bc I got shot on my head as I slid in. Went to check it by touching the paint, ref immeidalty pulled a major costing us the point. I didn't even shoot or continue to play on, I was getting up to walk out when he threw it. In rec it's what ever. But if you have shitty refs in a tournament where teams spend hundreds of dollars, they have a right to bitch about bad calls.

2:10 never swab your barrel like that. It will push the paint inside your barrel towards the eyes which could eventually cover your eyes and your gun won't shoot. You want to take the barrel off when swabbing it so that you get all the paint out in the direction a ball will shoot.

besides the fact that this is an illegal move- it constitutes blind fire.

@zach currin Actually it does. Blind fire is any time you're not properly sighting the weapon. It is your duty, which is imperative to safety, to know exactly where every round you discharge is going to end up before you pull the trigger. Any reasonably trained and reasonably safety conscious range master would absolutely throw you off the field for this sort of thing.

Correction to your "automatic" system. That is still technically semi-automatic because one trigger pull causes one round to be fired. Instead it should be labeled as a way to increase your fire rate Other than that I like the communication thing. Same thing used by the military who have proven it extremely effective

Leo Valdez Well yeah its alright if you forgot cuz most people are getting into COD AW rather than BO2 Where it had the Dolphin dive. COD AW Does not have the Dolphin dive anymore as i think you know. It now has the sliding mechanism now...

ii Pugnatrix I have played both and paintball is a zillion times more fun and intense than airsoft. Paintball guys are more aggressive but airsoft guys are dweebs that take themselves too seriously, generally speaking for both groups

Keeping your marker down when loading, will give you a little pause to breath in and tackle the stress, and it will prevent you from creating a rythem if you are in a battle with your opponent. if you create a rythem, he will find a gap where he/she can counter attack. loading while holding your marker up, will be number one priority if your holding your opponent inside his/hers bunker. Many of these tips are basic and useful but in a own set of style.

A lot of these are basic tips, for newbs, no reason to hate so much. I love how the sport of paintball started here in the states and has gone world wide, the only thing I am jealous of is how its become bigger in other countries than it is here.

Here's a great tip. Run in to the field with tippmann 12oz clipped to your belt, tactical smokes in your hands, and sacrifice in the enemies base to get 6-10 guys. Scream YYAYAYALALALALALALALALALALALA It worked beautifully. :D

Pro Painbtall tip: Place mask on face, tighten strap on the back by pulling on the strap. This way you protect your eyes and so the mask is fully secured to your face.

Someone once told me that to increase your rate of fire, put a rubber band around your two fingers so they rebound back at the trigger faster
