$20 photochromic cycling sunglasses: Worth it or not?

After hundreds of miles in them, I breakdown whether or not these $20 photochromic glasses from Rockbros are are deal or not.

Comparable glasses from Smith are $300. Yes, that's 15 pairs of those for one Smith, also made of cheap plastic. Photochromics that go full clear don't get that dark no matter what price you pay.

Rockbros has a pair of photochromic sunnies that don't have the bottom frame. Maybe they'd be a good shout

To be fair, I think Rockbros is just using the wrong marketing to these glasses. From what I see, most of the rants are cosmetic, but the ones which affect functionality seem to work better as a pair of MTB sun glasses. I have these exact glasses and I've used them specifically for MTB (both day and night rides) and they have worked pretty much fine so far. The dorky aesthetics is quite standard in MTB 😁 and you don't tend to look behind in MTB often, if at all while riding. I really like the fact they're really light, in my case I experience fogging from time to time, but they clear easily while riding.

Come on Durability is the biggest question with cheap glasses. Is the plastic cheap and brittle, do the hinges break, does the lenses scratch easily

While the plastic feels cheap, it honestly doesn't feel all the different from the "nice" pairs of glasses I've had. As in I wouldn't expect these to break in any situation an expensive pair wouldn't also break in.

Selling it and reviewing it are two different things. Either you're selling or reviewing. Doing both is just an infomercial, designed for profit, your own profit, not non-profit review and not a true review.

Did I ever say I was selling it? I bought the pair myself and have literally zero communications or relationship with the company. So I am just reviewing it and you're just trolling and making yourself look uninformed.
