Survival jobs-is a temporary job either part time,Full time job just to have money pay bills and enough to buy foods in the table.
For new comers/immigrants,I have 20 survival jobs for you.
1.cleaning/janitorial jobs
2.pizza delivery
3.snow removal during winter time
4.landscaping during summer time
5.work in restaurants-server,bartender or cook.
6.security guard
7.constructions
8.warehouse jobs
9.uber driver
10.sales/store(superstore,Walmart,Costco,Home Depot,Canadian tire etc.)
11.work in gas station(7/11 as cashier)
12.skip the dish
13.meat packing/meat productions/butcher
14.foodcourt(server,cook)
15.babysitting /nanny
16.call centre
17.ask people in your own community
18.ask your church leaders/members
19.go to new comers office
20.ask your friends recommendation/family

I am a Canadian Journeyman electrician and one of my apprentices was from Philippines. He got his job through his friend (my coworker at church). Trades are considered good jobs here in Canada. He started at $18 an hour and after 4 years of working on the job and government paid schooling he will be making $36 an hour. Construction jobs are not just for men, some construction companies want to hire women too because the government wants female trades people as well.
