I'm a housekeeping manager for a casino on the strip. On the topic of tipping, specifically for Housekeeping. If you can't leave a monetary tip, leaving a *sealed* Gatorade/energy drink/water when you are checking out in the room is also a good tip for your room attendant. The men and women who keep our hotel rooms clean work a very physically demanding job, and little things like this can really help.

OMG that’s a great idea and one we will definitely consider for our next visit in addition to the monetary tip ❤️ Thank you so much for this advice. And also thank you so much for the hard work you and your team do ❤️ As someone who works in the hospitality industry in my off KZfaq day job, housekeeping is essential to any property and you all do amazing things to keep the rooms up for guests. Thank you again for that feedback and advice for anyone reading this comment ❤️ (and we hope you enjoyed the video) -Paul

I’ve noticed that over the years, cocktail servers take a very long time while playing slots. Most of them won’t even serve 2 drinks at a time. Although I’m a loyal MGM member, I find that Caesar’s Palace have the best service and many waiters/waitresses working at any given time. Great review guys!

Hi you two, as usual, a great addition to the channel! One question regarding tipping, what is appropriate for the housekeeping staff who service our hotel room? We are staying at the Flamingo in May and I would like to ensure my appreciation for their tireless work is respectful and appropriate. I absolutely agree that the best way to enjoy Vegas is to have the right mindset, be respectful and mindful of the work that staff do in order for us to indulge in our vacation dreams and experiences. Many thanks for all the help getting us Vegas ready!!
@JamesandPaulTryitAll

We generally recommend about $3 to $5 per day on days that we have the housekeeping clean the room (such as when we remove the DND sign from the room). One thing we do also want to specify is when leaving your tip to place it somewhere where the housekeeping can know that it’s a tip and not just change or extra money left on the nightstand or counter. Sometimes we will place it on the bed for when they make it so the staff knows it’s a tip or we will write a note specifying that the amount is a tip. Some properties and cruises may also leave an envelope in the room for this purpose but places that don’t, it’s best to make sure that your tip is notified that it’s a tip. Also… we hope you have a great stay at the Flamingo and if you haven’t yet caught our review on it, we have a full review up on the channel about our stay there ❤️ - Thanks for watching and for the comments. -Paul

@@JamesandPaulTryitAll I watched the Flamingo review once I realized I had missed it, your comment about you two both having service industry experience was good to know, my partner and I have similar histories and we both try to show our appreciation for the industry workers whenever or wherever we go, partly by being ‘easy to please’ guests, and partly by being generous with tips and compliments. Love how you shout out individual employees for their service and willingness to help! We were thinking of about $5 a day, so thank you for your recommendation. I also like leaving a note with it for clarity. ❤️

So true… Those properties are BIG. They look so much closer than they actually are. We have a lot of it down to a science as far as how to navigate the strip. Thanks for watching ❤️ -Paul

@@JamesandPaulTryitAll hi! As you know, everyone’s tastes are different, but Esther’s Kitchen…amazing Italian! Good Pie has tasty pizza! ReBar is a fun bar with a twist…they are a thrift store/bar, with their slogan being “Get drunk and buy sh*t” Right next to ReBar is Davys…another local bar. Velveteen a rabbit, Stray Pirate and Berlin bar are great bars too. Every first Friday of the month, all year long is First Friday, where local artists, talent and food trucks take over the area and is a blast.

While taxis may be useful from the airport to the hotel, do NOT use taxis on the strip.Lift or Uber is usually drastically cheaper, more convenient, and quicker

Yaaasss!… We never use a taxi on the strip. Rideshare all the way. That is much much cheaper. But we do love the flat rate at the airport to our hotel especially because they no longer are allowed to tunnel you and because of those shady tactics cabs used in the past there’s now a flat rate. Which is overall just more convenient for getting in, but… ride shares everywhere else will always save a lot more money ❤️ -Paul

If I am driving to LV instead, come early AM & leaving the same evening, where is the best place(s) to park the 10 hours? Is there any free parking available anywhere? I don't mind the long walk. fanks(!)
@JamesandPaulTryitAll

Treasure Island is one of the only ones with free parking on the strip (that’s always subject to change as it seems that when one property removes something the others always follow suit but Treasure Island is one of the only ones with 3:2 Blackjack on the strip so they probably are just trying to be more guest focused with both of those perks), but if you have Platinum or higher with Caesars you can get free parking at their properties or if you have Pearl or higher with MGM you can also get free parking with their properties. -Paul

good tips, super glad you mentioned the scammy performers, they're so aggressive sometimes! And watch out for the people who try to hand you a sample at the "beauty" stores, they're also a scam to get you inside and hustle you with overpriced junk. There's also some fantastic dining options away from the Strip and Fremont, do some research and branch out to some of the places that locals go like Echo and Rig, Primal and Babystacks

Thank you for watching and for mentioning the Beauty Scams… that is one thing we did not cover in this video but it is definitely a huge scam on the strip and there’s one in like every mall there. At the moment a lot of our Vegas content does focus on the strip and downtown as we do not typically rent a car when we fly in so a lot of off strip places do require a bit more time planning and time commitment to plan into the schedule, but we do have a few off strip places in mind that we want to hit in the future and thank you so much for the suggestions ❤️ -Paul
