Let's be honest here, Solo took a hit at the box office because of backlash from The Last Jedi. Quit sugar-coating it. It's a fun movie, even if it can be considered "unnecessary". I found it highly entertaining, and a lot more lighthearted than many other movies that came out around the same time.

Solo made $392.8 million more at the box office than you give it credit for.

You forgot to mention the references Lando casually dropped to the three books in L. Neil Smith's Lando Calrissian book trilogy. In various conversations, he mentioned either the title or partial title of all three books.

I've seen way worse movies in my life. Afterall, a bad Star Wars movie is better than most any other "good" movies

One thing that may be overlooked by many about the Star Wars fighting game, was the use of dynamic lighting from the Lightsabers and Blaster-Fire. The colors actually reflected upon the characters ingame and that was a huge leap at the time.

I didn't bother seeing it at first cuz my opinion of the sequels wasn't the greatest. But I'm sad I didn't, it was such an entertaining movie 😊

While I liked the movie well enough, the problem I have with "origin story episodes" that try to throw in as many explanations and fanservice things as they can think of, is that it can kinda make the character seem as though their entire life happened in about a week. :)

Solo had more recognizable actors in it than the whole Skywalker saga. Of course I realize Lucas wanted it that way. On another note, Harrison Ford had three Lucasfilm roles if you count his part in American Graffiti.

I think it had more to do with Star Wars burn out at the time along with competing with the MCU. The movie was fun though. It’s a heist movie in space, what’s not to like?

As much as I loved the film and Alden's take on the character, I can't say he looks like Harrison Ford. If anything he would've been a perfect Han if Kurt Russell actually got the part back in the first film

I love this movie way more than the sequels combined. People didn’t see it because of Last Jedi. Empire is the only perfect Star Wars movie, New Hope very close. This movie isn’t perfect but it’s soooo much fun! Nobody can replace Harrison Ford, but I thought this guy did a really really decent job. I love how he shoots Beckett first. Basically confirming that Han shot first with Greedo. Dryden Voss was scary. The droid uprising and the slaves breaking free was epic. Just give it 15 years and people will appreciate this movie. Just like we all love the prequels more because of the disastrous sequels. They were stupid but hey they were fun. I consider them canon. I don’t consider the sequels canon. Let Dave Feloni redo the whole thing.

The only thing I missed in Solo was a good movie. These movies are only vehicles to sell toys, tee shirts and posters to prepubescent boys, and fond memories of being prepubescent boys to adults. This is the corporate mentality of the people who make these movies.

Solo is my least favorite Star Wars movie, but that doesn't mean I didn't like it. There is a lot to enjoy in the film. Donald Glover was particularly good as young Lando.

Solo is the most "Star Warsy" of all the Disney films. It's also 1 of only 2 good movies in the Disney Era. The other being Rogue One.

Worst Star Wars ever, and I'm including the Christmas special. I tried to watch it a second time on Disney+, but I gave myself whiplash shaking my head each time it referenced something from a later film. And it made Han Solo into a juvenile clown. As bad as the Abrams films were, what Ron Howard did to Star Wars is just sad.
