Yep, Jerry was an OK guy who cared about his colleagues and tried to be helpful. He didn't deserve the abuse he got. Tom was a self centred talentless annoying git. If the catchphrase had been shutup Tom, the audience would have got on board with that.

If you ask me number 6 is really sweet. You can can see Jerry get all upset and sad thinking that he’s gonna be the but of a fat joke and then Leslie says “oh that’s Tom”. You can just see the joy on Jerry’s face and his gratitude towards Leslie. It makes my heart glow

Well, this was the episode when everyone was nice to Jerry (Gary?). Leslie's definitely not nice to him otherwise. Ben, though.. he went on a day of dates with him. 😂

Tom did have some character growth by the end of the last season. From time to time he did help his colleagues, he helped Leslie against Jam, tried to get Leslie's book in Joan's book club (did have ulterior motive), socialized with Ben when he was new in town on Leslie's insistence. By the end of the show he did grow up a bit, Leslie, Ron and to some extent Ben played crucial role in that. So, to me his sort of happy ending was not undeserving.

Tom was the type of character I love to hate (most of the time), and I was always happy when somebody would put him in his place. He was horrible to Gary, he was incredibly self-center and petty, and don't get me started on Jon Ralphio.

Aziz runs really well. Because the character is so annoying, Aziz doesn't always get the full recognition on how well he plays Tom. He's got some serious technical chops.

Tom was immature and annoying. The saving grace was that as the show progressed, the character did grow up and proved that he cared about other people aside from himself. Having said that, there were times when he deserved to be called out as this compilation shows......

Tom was, hands down, the worst of the bunch. He was self-centered, undeservedly superior, disgustingly superficial and had very little empathy. When he shot Ron, he was totally willing to let Leslie take the fall until Ann stopped him. When Leslie had a big important presentation, he hijacked it and made it all about his failing business. He did the same thing to Ben when Ben was being honored with an award. He sabotaged a boys basketball game because Ron was seeing his ex, and in the presence of his current girlfriend. He's friends with the Sapersteins, who are 🎵The Wooooooorst 🎵. I don't know why he even has a holiday called "treat yo' self" because that's literally all he ever does. When he was tasked to bring Detlef Schrempf to Leslie's fundraiser, he instead brought him to the bar he co-owns to enhance the business. Tom is a worthless piece of garbage who absolutely did not deserve the happy ending he got.
