My church recently did a sermon on how the rest in your life affects the rest of you life. I think that is really something to think about because I often catch myself when I have an opportunity to rest always feeling the need to be doing something rather. The sermon really brought about a sense of reassurance that everything doesn’t have to be done at one time and it’s ok to sit still and listen to God. Luke 10:38-42😊❤

I appreciate you mentioning the fact that we don’t have to have a specifically curated home. Ever since having a home of my own with my hubby, I’ve felt a bit strange for not having a specific style. I feel like I have a very eclectic style, but I’ve been learning that that’s ok. Not everyone has to like my style as long as me and my husband are happy with our home.

I’m 53 and when my husband and I first married you didn’t see everyone’s homes on social media. The most we saw was on a TV program. We decorated the way we wanted and enjoyed what we had. We didn’t constantly buy new decor and furniture. We can all do this by disconnecting a bit and focusing on want we love and makes us happy ❤

That is wonderful! Your home can reflect you and your husband’s interests, likes and even personality! People appreciate authenticity. I worked at a company where we learned how some people enjoyed certain styles, while others enjoyed the home being a reflection of their eclectic life. A scrapbook of their memories or of things that inspire them, in a way! Thank you for sharing.

Love your cozy images. My house used to look like this until I had kids. Now the challenge is creating coziness with all the Spider-Man toys. Some times I get frustrated but then I remind myself how blessed I am to have this crazy in my life… look on the bright side… I let go of perfectly clean a long time ago and we are all so much happier. These times aren’t here forever.
