20 Tips Animal Crossing Doesn't Teach You

I have been a fan of Animal Crossing since the GCN days and I have been loving New Horizons. So I thought I would share some tips and tricks about the game with you all. Regardless of whether or not this information is new to you, I hope you're enjoying the game!

Hey Toph awesome video! Just thought Id share that there's a save corruption glitch that is caused by leaving islands with the minus button in some cases on the current patch. Using the Dodo Airlines is currently the safest way to avoid that!

I heard about that but the original poster who I believe is Japanese said later that there was no factual correlation between the minus button and losing the save. Other people reported their saves went corrupted in many different ways as well so there may be another cause for it.

yeah, we had the same problem.. it resets everything if you use the minus button to leave. it even makes picked fruit regrow

Hey, Toph!!! Great tips!! But the one about the villages crafting, they craft 3 times a day instead of just 1, so you get more DIY's!!

A better pattern for digging holes to hit rocks is to form a corner rather than a straight line: XXXX - X = blank space XBXX - B = Boulder XXXO - O = Hole XXOX Stand in that corner and you won't move a pixel! Thanks for the Tarantula tip; I've seen them spawn only three times on my island, the first time I was unprepared and managed to catch it, the next two times I already had my net out and got bitten both times :( Now I know for next time!

I had no idea about the thing with Sable, I only talked to her once, but she said she was busy, and as such I chose to not bother to talk to ehr again assuming she'd just have repeated dialogue. Also, tip 17 doesn't work for me as I don't play with sound on, instead I have spotify in the background, it helps me concentrate when I can have my favourite music on in the background, which in turn enhances my gaming experience.

In the beginning she barely says anything but keep talking to her everyday and she'll start talking more! In New leaf doing this unlocked the QR machine but in New Horizons you get the patterns! I know a lot of people who don't play with sound so I get that. But I know a lot of people struggle with catching fish so it was one of the first tips I thought of when making this list ^^

Second way to know is the vibration. (Also gives hint to what you're catching depending on shadow size)
