20 Weird Disney Fan Theories That Might Actually Be True

The creation of the internet has opened up a platform for wild movie fans to let loose and discuss film theory in great detail. It has come to the point where people are basically rewriting the movies we thought we knew so well because of the underlying story lines they are discovering. Today we will be looking at what fans of Disney have been theorizing about. One group of theories we will look at has to do with family links that we never saw before. Fans have suggested that The Little Mermaid and Hercules are related as well as The Frozen sisters and Rapunzel being cousins. Other theories include the existence of alternate universes and posit that Zootopia and Robin Hood are in the same universe where humans don’t exist and that The Incredibles is set in a world where humankind has reached greater technological advances by the year 1960. In addition, we look at characters who are not as they seem. We argue that the merchant in Aladdin is actually the genie and that The Evil Witch from Snow White is actually Mother Gothel from Tangled. We cover everything from characters from other movies making secret cameos and the mystery behind the vehicles in Cars all having different accents. We hope that in within our list of twenty theories, you are shocked, in awe and hopefully at one point appalled by the knowledge we are dropping. Join us as we weave through the best of the best, the creme de la creme. Hopefully we blow your mind clean off.

Yeah but... Mrs Pots and chip are actually people! And they turned back into people at the end of the movie. So if Jane got that Tea set from Belle, then it was just a different tea set with the same design of Mrs Pots and Chips Non-Human form (When they were a Tea set)

The way I thought of it was they were turned into specific furniture, but it was almost like a ghost possession? Like even though they were turned back into humans, the husks of their former furniture selves still existed.

I think the main point here is how they reuse images from the data base when creating "new" movies. Cheap, stream line produced trash compared to the real hand drawn Disney movies

I remember reading somewhere that the storm in The Lion King when Mufasa comes in ghost form to tell Simba go back home is what caused Elsa, Anna and Tarzan's parents' ship to wreck.

Disney stated, around the same time they confirmed the Tarzan-Frozen connection, the ship in Little Mermaid is not the ship that sank from Frozen. Considering Little Mermaid appears to take place in a more tropical environment, where creole/cajun food would be prepared. What I do not understand is if Tarzan, who was living in Africa, and whose parents had survived the shipwreck, how did they get from the Scandinavian region down to Africa, on timbers? Africa makes sense for Tarzan as that time period coincides with England's interest in their southern neighbor. Unless the shipwreck put them in England, with no memories, and they then travelled to Africa via ship, and had another shipwreck. Not likely. Disney confirmed it because they wanted to. No logical reasoning behind it. Logistically does not make sense.

@@bobastu Also, why would Elsa and Anna's parents be going to Africa in the first place? Kings and Queens would never do that stuff. That's why you hear explorers doing that stuff. Also, Trazans parents and Elsa and Anna's parents don't look alike. Their deaths were also different. The producers and directors like to conform this stuff because they think it's fun. Sometimes, it's a joke. And not all of these are connections. They're just easter eggs and far fetched.

It is based on the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen who was Dane, In the Chronicles of Narnia, The Snow Queen appears as the White Which, unlike these two. Elsa is a benevolent character, who is trying to assert herself and use her powers for good.

Here's the thing about Aladdin... Genie was indeed in the 20th century. But his last master wished him back 10,000 years (before the events in Aladdin) as his final wish. That is how the genie had access to information from the 1990s.

That doesn’t make any sense. You say that Elsa and Anna’s parents are also Tarzan’s parents so the ship wreck should be close to Africa cause they used most of the ship for their treehouse. How is it possible that the ship wreck is close to Denmark?

If Zeus is Hercules's father, and Poseidon is Zeus's brother, and Triton is Poseidon's son and Triton's daughter is Arielle, it sums up that Hercules is Arielle's Uncle, Triton's first cousin. Contrary to what you've said in 2:13

Kork Cfel, ben01623, Belby Bilby: It sum up that Hercules is Ariel's first cousin once removed (separated by one generation), exactly as he said (despite all speculations in other parts of this video). And AFAIK "English" tradition counts only one's parents siblings uncles and aunts; if you speak about "second/third/fourth uncles" (e.g. in Russian naming, likely in other cultures as well) - they can be called "Mth cousing Nce removed" as well.

Yes but if you look very carefully you can see a faint discoloration in Andy's hat where the ribbon would have been. I mean it has been like 20 years since Andy's mom was a kid, it probably broke. I'm surprised the hat itself has lasted this long.

I heard a weird backstory on what happened to Andy’s dad but I don’t think it’s true. Apparently he died from a terminal disease of some sort that he had had since he was a kid, and he told Andy to go get the box with Woody in it from the attic, and then Andy came back down and he was dead. I don’t think it’s true but you never know

Percy Jackson is ariel's uncle. Posiden is Percy's dad, Posiden's son is Tryton, Ariel's dad is posiden's brother that just made it really confusing

Abby Barletter *poseidon* and Triton is Poseidon’s son, not brother, cause Poseidon’s part of the big threeee (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades). Percy’s technically Triton’s half brother and that makes him Ariel’s uncle.

The genie is all powerful so what stops him from seeing the future? He can summon drinks, summon a huge stage and he can do a lot more since he's all-powerful so he should be able to see into the future right? He had 10,000 years to do whatever in a tiny lamp too.
