i like how defenders are just hunting attackers. the ratio was definately off. it shouod have been more attackers or attackers have one respawn or smth.

I think in traditional military theory the attacking force is supposed to be 3x as large as the defending force in order for it to be balanced. So starting out the attackers were already at a major disadvantage being only equal in size and it only got worse.

So, The Defenders had an huge Advantage because the attackers couldn't place blocks in the Defender's Fortress. 🚫No Pillering 🚫No Lava Edit: Wow IM famous?!

I think its generally agreed that a siege needs about 3x as many troops as the defenders to be successful. The idea of simply starving the defenders out was probably the best bet, but we don't know how much they had in terms of food.

Was such a nice event , 😅 but the attackers overall power was so lacking me and 4 others defended 1 gate by ourselves the whole match , I managed to get 10 confirmed kills and other assets

In real life to have a decent chance at taking a fortified location with two equally equipped and trained sides you need at least a 3:1 ratio of attackers to defenders, a 5:1 ratio is more certain.

Something was off the moment a video titled “200 players simulate a medieval battle” started with “150 attackers, 150 defenders”. Also, it definitely shouldn’t be even as defending is always supposed to be easier than attacking.

Huh, this was kind of a surprise. In most civ events the winning team is the one that strikes out and attacks others. I think the difference makers were: - Their pre-loot - Splitting up kinda made sense for them, having some go out and hunt the attackers down while others defend. What would've made sense for attackers is balling together and bum-rushing the castle since surely someone would've gotten through to the beacon. - The pre-made structure being really good. In most civ events you either don't have that much time to make a good defensive structure or need to hold back on how defensive it is because of buffoons on your own team who will otherwise die to your own defenses. - Forced defender and attacker teams. In a normal civ event the more aggressive players are usually also the more pvp-competent ones, so they'll naturally gravitate to the teams that launch attacks rather than defending, and only be taken down because of everyone else teaming up against them (if they're taken down at all). In this they're more naturally split.
