mine is at 335k kms right now and still going strong, build quality is beyond 👌. I'll still think it's the most reliable m car ever made

Der e39 ist das schönste Auto, was auf diesem Planeten existiert. Ich als Abiturient arbeite hart für meinen 530i Handschalter,1. Hand. Es tut weh zu sehen, dass diese Autos immer weniger werden. Wenn ich meinen M5 habe, wird er an meinem Grab stehen, mit 1000000 KM, still funktionstüchtig für meinen Sohn.

good old panzerkampfwagen e39 m5 :) i was honored to be a passenger in one of those once and i couldn't believe how it managed to be so raw and so refined at the same time. rode beautifully over zagreb's disgustingly built speedbumps and potholes, but stayed flat and sharp in corners. and that sound... beautiful car, sadly the new ones, although much faster and more efficient, don't have the same soul.

So they finally fixed up that road(5:05)! It was always a good stretch to test your suspension due to the wavy road surface.

Das is einfach gute Qualität schau dir mal die e60 e90 f10 M an die sind nicht so hochwertig im Gegensatz zu den e39 Bald wird mein e39 hoffe ich auch zu einem M5 wäre ein Traum 🙂❤️ schönes Video btw

Guckt dir dann mal den f90 an, finde ihn als eines der gelungenen m5, stabil, qualitativ, und das wichtigste, schalten zwischen Allrad und heckantrieb

Out of curiosity were the rod bearing replaced or are they original 360k km? Mine is 00 with 282k km all original

Original… But nowadays, this car has completely new engine, as well as mine M5 with 193k km. Both cars had a cracked head between the third and fourth cylinders. 🤣 And there are not many engine blocks left on the market…

Když vidím jak se to hravě chová tak je to sériový setup že? U mý M5 jsem překopal komplet podvozek, diferak k tomu dodal nějaké hříbě navíc a už není tak hravá ale za to ten grip pod plným plynem na výjezdu ze zatáčky je k nezaplacení. Od té doby už nejezdí na oko ale na rychlosti 😀

Are interior mirrors not oval in all M5's? Standard ones look better though.

Yes, they are, in this case, owner pretty much like the standard from basic 5er. :-)

Why would you rebuild an engine at 360k ever? There shouldn't be any wear at twice that km. I've seen engines taken apart at 600-700k that still had original honing pattern in the cylinders visible. If you service an engine like recommended from the manufacturer, there's no reason why it shouldn't last for 1 million km, especially naturally aspirated ones.
