An intended gap year, that is still going! We are travelling full time in our 18 foot caravan..

That was a spectacular backdrop at the first place you videoed, and the perfect time with the sun setting. Congrats on your first 2000.

Congratulations on your 2000 days. And still counting which is wonderful. My wife and I retired 2 years ago. I cannot for the life of me understand her race-about attitude. I have this "take your time" thing down pat, but she constantly thinks of me as "lazy". Best wishes for your continued travels. I am much envious as our van basically lives in the driveway.

Hopefully you can work it out between you, even if you just do short trips. Just try and ease her into it 😃 Good luck!

Congratulations guys,we found this video very helpful and informative,thank you.We are leaving on our “gap year”towards the end of this year and the nerves fear of stepping out of our comfort zone are starting to creep in.However,we have purchased the tow vehicle and the van is being built so we feel very reassured by your videos.Safe travels.👍

Hi Glenn and Vicky. Your Kangaroo Island trip inspired us. I’m retired and my wife will be soon and we plan to get out there from the south west of WA. Kangaroo Island is high on our list. We have a Triton Ute and 18 pop top Jayco but not solar panels. Good battery system and generator does all we need. One question, are there medical facilities on the island as I have a health issue and like to know medical is within reach. We tend to keep that in mind when on the road. Thanks for your videos, we do enjoy them. Glenn in WA.

Hi Glenn, thanks for watching, glad you enjoy our videos. There is a full health service in Kingscote, with hospital stays if needed. Thousands of people live on the island, so the health facilities must handle a wide range of conditions. I would expect major emergencies might need to go to Adelaide? but Kingscote is the largest town on the island, and within 2 hours of anywhere really, so you will be fine. You will love Kangaroo Island 😍

congrats guys - safe travels for the next 2000! PS what size map are you using!
@happycampersaustralia

Thanks. We use a Hema laminated map, you can get them online. It’s under a metre wide. Good size for marking lines, but we still find it tricky to mark all roads. Any smaller would not be as detailed 😃
