I found this old video from February 20th, 2000. It looks like a Grammy rehearsal video of Britney Spears performing, Baby One More Time.

Well...since she stopped singing in public like, that year is why. She just never sang live again, no one thinks she can because no one's heard her do it.

She was like 18 here. The amount of talent, professionalism, maturity, work ethic, creativity, etc. is so impressive. At 18 I was eating Cheetos and watching TV and planning how to get into community college lol

So mad about the playblack on BOMT, she made it so many times live before with a harder choreography ! I think before this, no one did lip syncing (especially after the scandal with Milli Vanilli).

I hope you remember that. Milli vanilli was lip syncing to somebody else's track. They did not sing their own music. I think lip syncing is fine if you sang it in a studio and you're lip syncing to your own track. After all, when you go to a show it's entertainment, and if it entertains you then it's a job well done.
