It's amazing...just pure amazing. The parallels between this and blues are amazing. There's an old joke about asking a blues man to play something twice and him saying no he can't cuz the moment is gone. That's pretty much how this is. Do it again exactly ain't an option. The whole art form is a work in progress. Not a singular reproducible product. It's carpe diem live.

I love vinyl performances, but I dont think Vinyl should be a determining factor of whether or not someone is good at it. Just because someone uses digital doesn't make it any more easier for them. From what I know of, A-trax and a ton of others use digital controllers now (what Dave Sargent said). Theres also tons of dj fail compilations that use digital. Besides, don't we want more people to become djs and have accessible options to get started?

@@funnman1777 I agree with you but something about this era, I personally don't hear sets like this anymore from people who are on digital, I don't think its necessarily the digital by itself but vinyl by its nature is imperfect, sure you could fuck up on digital too but you really had to lock in those instincts on vinyl compared to digital. I'm not anti-digital at all though. Idk, maybe its just that DJing and turntablism is more so in a EDM oriented place nowadays than it was before.

Craze is and will always be the best. The Michael Jordan of turntablelism period. A-Trak would fall into 2nd place only because craze became his mentor and would become 2nd best when he joined the ALLIES CREW.

I think this was San Francisco??? Dv8? I was there if so. Saw him in the green room just in the zone . A monster just starting to realize all his gifts. The musicality and the creative vision sets him apart. But still the 97 championship was all time.

It's not the KZfaq way, but you all might try saying things in a kind way vs condescending, aggressive, and rude. I never noticed most turntablists don't cue up with headphones, though I did know they mark the spot on the record...so thanks for pointing that out. Also, don't make assumptions. I love edm, use ableton and Serato, and since I'm not a pro at it, I appreciate the work it takes to make it sound good. That being said I have a special appreciation for turntablists using vinyl, especially now that Serato is the standard for the DMC comps. So it's just my opinion, but I'd say chill a bit, don't take yourselves so seriously and try to be nice. That's what we all really want from each other, isn't it?

Sounds like Dj Premier "None of Y'all Better." Sounds sped up, probably on 45 rpm. However this has to be a sample from something else, I don't think Premier released this pre 2000/2001.
