How can market manipulation be illegal? Suppose i have 100 INR .I will buy some shares hoping its price will appreciate in future and sell the shares later to book profit. So what is the difference if i was already rich (by legal means) and i had invested 1 crore (without any scam) instead of 100 ? What is the issue in booking profit later?
