I got this a while back, Finally got a chane to finish it all due to some technical issues and my crazy schedule. It super easy to use, plug in and ready to go within seconds, has 3 tunes on it, low, med, high. Very noticeable performance gains and it makes the 7.3 pig really fun to drive, especially a manual lol. I wish it was a little bit cheaper for what it is, but because it super easy to install to some it might be worth that extra $$ , Hydra is a a much more technical install and takes some work, but also has many tune options and costs per tune can also add up fast. So is it better than Hydra? it kinda depends what you need and what you want and how your DIY skills are??

And slowly the light starts drifting up on the hood...Dad says "put the light over here on the carburetor son" then after you do it about 3 times.." Put the light on the damm carburetor or go in the house with your mother!!!..LOL ADD in the House!!

Nick, if you're impressed with that and all it does is bump icp pressure then just WAIT till you get a custom tunes chip! Which btw is really easy to install, don't be afraid. I have a "canned" tune php chip that was $250 and I'm Happy with that

It may have good can tunes but single shot injectors need custom tunes which the hydra is the best for tunning yourself. Buy the tune, download it, burn it all without having to take the chip out and mailing it out. Hydra all the way👍👍 thanks for the vid

That's a nice set up I have a bully dog you have to pull the pcm to install it. I dread when my service engine light comes on it usually cost me a lot of me and my truck quits

Hydra is the way to go Nick. Working on the PCM is a cake walk compared to all the other engine modes you’ve done. Hydra is great for if your planning on getting any upgraded injectors down the road. Plus that stealth sitting in the valley with all those cables and plastic doesn’t seem safe. Also I’m pretty sure you won’t pass Cali smog with it sitting there either. Anyways looking forward to your next videos.

Nice video, but the PHP Hydra is the cats meow. Bill at PHP has been turning diesel trucks for a long time, I run several standard tunes in both trucks, I tow in the 65HP tow tune getting over 11mpg pulling my 10K 5th wheel. You really need to get some gauges for the truck, and I'd suggest the Edge SCT2 is a few bucks more than a 3 gauge pillar mount, but it's a plug and play system with the ability to add on.

Nick when you do the up pipes the hardest part is reinstalling the turbo getting the alignment pin to align properly. The other problem I had with the uptight installation was with the special screws they provide, on the passenger side installation went fine, on the driver side and the special screw stripped I ended up installing the stock Ford screw. When I took the stock pipes out they literally fell apart. I used the international ceramic coated of pipes. The oil crossover line made the engine noticeably quieter. I like how you wrapped the intercooler hot side with insulation. Recommend you wrap the cold side too to keep the heat out. Thanks for the video on the stealth tuner, ill cross that one off my list. I'm still considering the hydra or a re-flash of the ecm chip. I replaced the stock spider (it broke) with the aFe unit, I'm very pleased with it.

Just leave the bolts at the manifolds loose, align the baby’s butt with the exhaust housing and slide the clamp over. I think it’s one of the more easy installations with new uppipes.

I got a php hydra and I love it. If you buy it you will not regret. The hydra will fix the overboost code

You need to do a regulated return fuel system setup. That way fuel is fed at both ends of both heads. Plus you'll get an extra filter if you do a FASS setup or some. Your injectors will thank you.

All that stealth tuner does is bump the icp pressure like a resistor would, get some custom tunes on a hydra for that 99 and she will be a whole other animal

That code low-pressure fuel rail is from the stealthbox because the only sensor on that rail is the ICP sensor and if you are blowing black smoke that definitely doesn't mean you have low fuel pressure it just means unburnt fuel and not enough air and turbo not keeping up with unburned fuel like I said low rail pressure is from the ICP sensor computer not understanding what the stealthbox is doing

do not buy that. all it does is fool the ecm about the ICP reading. get a real tuner like Hydra

I'm going to jump in with everyone else and say ditch the stealth and get a hydra. You're just going to melt things with this. Black smoke means inefficient combustion and high EGT's. Speaking of which, you need a pyrometer asap especially if you keep this stealth which essentially just dumps more fuel and overworks your HPOP.

Might recommend a bullydog, full diagnostics and the ability to delete your governer, control throttle input, even adjust your speedometer for aftermarket wheels. Really breaks the 7.3 free

Hydra with a boost f o o l e r. The PCM will shut the fuel down without the Boost fooler. That will throw your check engine light on

Are you aware you can do this with a resistor inline on the ICP sensor?? Definitely NOT a replacement for the TS chip. All this is doing is fooling the ICP sensor. The TS chip is actually a tuner. For the engine and the transmission. Amazing tool because you can buy a chip burner and write your own tunes. Definitely handy if you ever do massive upgrades like twin turbos, large injectors etc. Tuners are NOT just for blowing black smoke. Whoever thinks that doesn't know a damn thing about diesel trucks.

WOW...that is the 10k / 18k resistor mod in a plastic box. I did this on my 99 back in the day. $20 worth the parts at RadioShack. No transmission tuning will eat up an automatic transmission. Lucky you have a manual.
