The Gamecube was far, far more powerfull than Sony's PS2 or Sega Dreamcast. Actually, it was only weaker than the Xbox. The great problem was the media. While PS2 and Xbox DVDs could store up to 8 GB of media, Gamecube Mini Discs could only store 2.4 GB of media.

Compared to the N64, they were smoother and higher def. The N64’s 3D graphics were a bit blocky and untextured due to the technical limitations, especially since the N64 ran on cartridges rather than Discs like the PlayStation.

@@miguelgcgamer9878 weirdly enough, The Playstation does have a thousands of Polygons while the N64 has even more, the only difference is that the PS1 had better textures while the N64 had smoother graphics

@Jie Andaya sometimes people overreact their excitement for views, just to say they are “genuine fans”. Being excited is normal but some people would just exaggerate it to the point where it sounds so obnoxious and annoying

GameCube was the first console i bought with my own money. It took me seven months to save up for working odd jobs and saving birthday and Christmas money. I'll always cherish that little black lunchbox

I like how you can hear what’s most exciting to the hardcore Nintendo nerds: Samus, Ness, Sheik, Link, Kirby, and even the obscure Ice Climbers.

The first Luigi's Mansion is still my favorite of that series; I mean, the animation of Luigi's opening the doors with his hand shaking still looks incredible and not sure why they never brought that back!

thats why its good to get sequels around that time with the same team working on it. 15 years later you don't get the same people nor the same feeling. IMO the only real luigis mansion is the first one. Other ones are good though still.

@@johng5261 Honestly the only reason I like the first one more is because it came out first, and it still is the best game ever in my own opinion. It was just so revolutionary for the time with the lighting, FMV, graphics, and the sound/music. Although I still think the sequels are some of the best ever made too. The first game fleshed out Luigi like never before, but the sequels did it to an even higher level with the even more amount of FMV. There's not another character in gaming that I hold closer than Luigi. He is the embodiment of courage, because he faces his greatest fears constantly throughout these games. The later games also had a very fun multi-player mode and were much longer than the first. But keep in mind, that the first still always will be the greatest game ever for me.

It was most likely considered a bit "too scary" and they made it more "friendly" to younger players. They tend to have dulled down a lot of things in video games. In the original "Luigi's Mansion" beta, it was going to be much creepier but they once more, toned it down. It's a shame. This may be the nostalgia talking, but the first Luigi's mansion will always be the best in the series imho.

Luigis mansion,eternal darkness, metroid prime series, mario sunshine, 2 new zelda games, metal gear solid twin snakes, resident evil remake, resident evil 4, f zero, smash bros, paper mario ,mario kart,pikmin series,time splitters future perfect,beyond good and evil. man this console was great.

the Gamecube was the first console i got back in 2008, by a neighbor. 20 bucks and included deadly Alliance haha. the GC was and is still amazing, sadly i no longer have the cube, RIP 2008-2019, thanks for those years of replaying the Megaman X collection, Mario golf Toadstool tour, Sonic Heroes, Sonic riders. i still own the controller to this day and i will never sell it, it has become a piece of my love for gaming. i will always own it forever.

Can we go back to this time period? The gaming industry wasn't as messed up as it is back then. Even though the games back then aren't in the same league as the newer AAA games' graphics today the games back then were still very fun though. There were no DLC, microtransactions, incomplete games, no huge file size, etc. The industry back then was focus on making fun games and innovating new ideas! When you buy a Gamecube game, a PS2 game or an XBox game you get the full experience! No BS! That all changed during the next generation with PS3, XBox 360 and Wii era. Games became less physical and more digital and I think that was the beginning of the end not in terms of the end of gaming but the end of physical gaming as a medium with discs and cartridges. The gaming industry introduced online gaming as a main focus with more patches, DLCs and digital stores.

GBC - Mario Tennis, Zelda: Oracle of ages and seasons, Pokemon Crystal and Kirby's tilt n tumble,... N64 - Conker's bad fur day, Dr Mario 64, Mario Party 3 , Pokemon Stadium 2,... GBA - F-zero Maximum velocity, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Wario Land 4, Mario Advanced,... GCN - Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee,... I think it was a good year. Specially the hype for the new consoles. Every major nintendo franchise seemed well developed at that point and we were finally ready to see all these characters with the improved graphics

It the was the 2nd console I had, first was GameBoyPocket, and it was a great machine, still is still works. Nintendo didnt saw things like RE4 and Eternal Darkness coming, but they did came and it gave a maturity to the domain never seen before.
