2001 Lexus GS300 weather strip

I replaced the passenger front door weather strip because it was torn, old , ugly, and I wanted to see if that would reduce the air noise that I was hearing. It did not help the noise but it does look better. The trickiest part was figuring out to remove the plastic cover from the door stop.
The weather strip was OEM from Lexus, $160. Scotty Kilmer said not to buy after market on these so I paid the price.

Idk if you have the same issue but if you have a high pitched ringing at speed, it is because your hvac dampers are worn out and not closing properly.

Thomas Davidson no it’s just wind noise, especially if there’s a cross wind. The strip didn’t help . I’m leaning towards the windshield seal.

i am getting some wind noise in cross wind near the windshield pillar lower side driver side it seems outside don't know what it is cant figure out sounds frrrffrrrfrrrrfrrr when im above 80km less then 40 its quite

My Gs is leaking on the pass side -onto front and rear carpets and the pass side pillar any idea about this?

gofastnys probably your sun roof drains are clogged. Search KZfaq. Pretty easy fix.

@@alfredlyon27 I agree, I had the same problem when I came back from holiday and looked in my car the driver side footwells were soaking. After I investigated I found the tube from the roof had pulled away from the roof outlet, so I extended it and put it back.

I found an OEM driver's side front door seal at Discount Parts Monster out of Hollywood FL. Found this video to get it on the door. It's great 😄 hope you found one too.
