580patriot lol you realize the game has changed a lot since 2001. All teams used to blitz on over 50% of plays. Now no one ever blitzes. The QBs are better today, and the RB’s/O-Lines are worse today. This all adds up to less blitzing

It wasn't that Vick only knew a few plays, it was that Vick was a very rare talent, similar to what Lamar Jackson would become, and Dan Reeves and his OC hadn't created many plays honed to his specific abilities. If you read some of the analysts during this period, they were complaining about how Vick was put in games and yanked out of them, without giving him a real chance to find his feet. He was learning on the fly.
