2002 Punchestown World Rally Experience

Жыл бұрынFresh off the back of his 25th World Rally Championship event win, which at that time made him the most winningest at that level, Colin McRae arrived in Co.' Kildare to wow the Irish fans. McRae, in his factory specification Ford Focus WRC won the event by 14 seconds with a selection of guests in the passenger seat. McRae also used the event to allow his young protégé, one Kris Meeke to sample a World Rally Car for the first time.

The legend is so strong today that people around the world, remembering it, continue to grieve about the loss. There are fond memories of Colin, the man who changed people and motorsport in general. He is gone but will never be forgotten. I wear a t-shirt of his memory and it reminds me and everyone of him. Respect from Ukraine! Thx...

I remember being there in 2002 when i was 6, seeing Colin McRae in the flesh drive like he did was such an inspiration
