Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! KZfaq's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of KZfaq!

I have a black 2003 mach 1 in pristine condition with 750 miles on the engine. I plan on holding onto it for a long time unless the right offer comes along. The car puts down 720 RWHP and 670 RWTQ with 15lbs of boost. I've invested over 30k into the car in the past year and a half, it's not stock because I upgraded EVERYTHING in it. The only thing I haven't upgraded are the upper and lower control arms. It has a custom built Cobra engine with all forged internals and ported heads, Vortech supercharger with air to water intercooler, 3:73 gears Eaton limited slip differential, H&R SS lowering springs, Borla Stinger Exhaust, Bassani O/R X pipes, etc etc. I was lucky enough to live close to Granatelli Motorsports and Joe Granatelli did all the work on my car. I had a choice when it was stock to either buy a new Mustang GT and keep it stock or totally upgrade my Mach 1, I felt I made the better choice, the car drives like a dream and is crazy fast but still tame when you want it to be.

Great video. You do great work. There is some information that is not quite accurate, but not your fault as magazine articles had it wrong, and even Ford under-rated the car (likely to avoid the law suits like it faced on the 1999 Cobra for not producing advertised HP numbers. The Bullitt was for 2001 only (not 2002). The Mach 1 was an aluminum block (not iron as the car and driver article said). Although advertised by Ford to make 305 HP the 5 speed Mach 1s consistently put down 260-275 HP on the dyno, which comes out to the 320 HP mark on the engine (understandable since the similar 2001 DOHC produced 320 HP). Note the automatic has 1,000 RPM lower redline. This was due to Ford's concern that the automatic transmission could not handle a full 6800RPM shift into overdrive. Great video. Keep up the good work.

Look's like someone's already put some work into that one. Full exhaust, including long tube headers (PITA to install), and a JLT ram air just from what I could see. These cars are highly under rated. It's not about horsepower, its about what it does with that power. I have an 04 5spd, with nothing more than a JLT CAI (the one that car has is a JLT ram air, still functional with the shaker system, while my intake pulls the air in from the bottom of the bumper), an offroad x pipe, and a Borla catback (which is no longer hooked up after some speed bumps and bridges destroyed the flanges, so its running open x pipe now), and the car has gone 12.6 @107mph with a 1.8xx 60ft time. Weighs 3610lbs with me in the car. I am 220lbs, so roughly 3400lbs without. Takes very minimal work to get these things to move out! I've already scratched a few newer coyote powered GT's on my kill list belt.

I'd rather drive this *AUTOMATIC* Mustang, than to be caught dead in a 5 speed 92' Civic hatch back. This car still gets looks. It still turns heads. It still makes ricers tuck tail at stop lights! And it's still fast as stink! You guys really need to turn down those egos, and appreciate an awesome car when you see it! *REGARDLESS WHAT TRANSMISSION IT HAS!!!*

Nice review ***** (Kyle). That Mach 1 version of that 03 Mustang is definitely quite a rare acquaintance to see on the roads these days, especially when a 10 year old sports car has 18,790.2 miles on the odometer :) In addition, what do you think of the look of the all new redesigned 2015 Mustang? - Michael Land

I've been watching your reviews for years now. You had better have another 01-04 mustang on that lot when my current lease is up! 2years3months to go! XD

I notice the music you played is a royalty free track , is that due to the all of the copyright infringement issues going on with youtube channels? If so .. very very clever move Kyle. I would never have thought of that.

Yep you're right! Unfortunately, there are people who fail to think and freak out like I've lost my mind. Glad there are some mature people out there haha. Due to strict youtube copyright rules, I am using royalty free music that I have purchased from now on. I have rights to use such songs in my videos forever. Unfortunately, all the videos that I have recorded in the past, but haven't uploaded, have to be dubbed over with the new background music to avoid third party matches. I'm not about to infringe and violate copyright law for something so silly. All future videos that I record, I will be using my ipod instead of the radio.

***** Using your ipod ( If the vehicle has ipod connectivity) is a brilliant Idea. I know that copyright rules are causing a lot trouble for many KZfaqrs out there but I think how you are dealing with the situation is very clever. Dubbing over must be such a pain , but one thing I have noticed in the past is your voice-overs give a real sense of professionalism to your videos. Will there be any issues with your previous videos?

This car gives so many memories when I was a wee lad. Mustangs were my favorite cars back then, but then I found out what a corvette was and how it kicks ass. Then I turned into a Chevy fan.

I knew why I just thought is poke fun at it. I've heard that song a million times on The Fast Lane Car's channel. And I was gonna suggest using your iPod to play the stock music over the vehicles speakers, that way you'll have a good way of comparing the different systems audio quality.

I fanboyed the hell out of the this car back when it was new, it used to be my dream car but now it looks a bit outdated compared to the new Mustangs and Camaros. Makes me kinda sad but still one of my all time favorite cars. Someday I should get one, regardless of its age. BTW buthurt ricers and etcetera can go fuck themselves with a cactus, I don't give a shit it's an automatic.

I might drive my brother's old 2001 Ford Mustang (automatic) when I turn 16. If that never happens, I might end up with a 2008 Mustang. I will update on this comment stating what happened in 2020, three years from now.
