To remove the spark plugs did you have take off the gas tank? If so I’m having trouble removing the air filter underneath the tank :/ I have a ‘01 Cbr600 f4i

Kyle Mamaril no, the tank cover is off, but air box and actual tank are still in place. I had to use some weird assembly of random tools and extensions to get my hands in the right places. It’s not all the friendly of a space. I’m not sure if it makes a big difference on the f4i or not...

Quick question, when you torqued the new spark plugs did you have to wait to hear a click?

No, no noise at all

Ok thanks, because for some bikes I read you hear a click. I have the same year as you and how do I make sure I don't over torque it, because I don't want to end up with a loose spark plug noise either. Or does a loose spark plug literally mean it's not hand tightened? Sorry I just don't want to mess it up lol

+Un known no problem, you want to get it tight like when you change your oil filter. Tight enough to stay, but not so tight you cant get it off next time (or in this case that you dont crush it). Get it threaded all the way and maybe a quarter turn more, but if it feels to hard to turn just stop, you're all set.

Just bought a 05 cbr600rr with 14k miles. Should I change the plugs? Was just gonna change the oil and air filter. Thanks

I believe manufacturers recommendation is every 16k miles, so it’s up to you, but if it’s any help I like to do maintenance over the winter while I can’t ride anyway...

Congrats on the purchase! I just picked up a 04 cbr600rr with 16k! I just did the oil and flushed the coolant. Was thinking about spark plugs or injectors, did you end up doing the spark plugs on your bike?

Duder Lawl hey! Nice that’s great mileage too. And no I haven’t done them yet I opted to wait uintil it hits 16k. They are also expensive:( but I’m going to do the coolant flush this weekend. If you have any tips please let me know!
