Nowadays everything is dispsable, people only drive a car for 5 years, not doing maintainence properly, and pawning it off on some sucker. Back in the day, you drove a car until it wouldn't drive no more, but you kept it nice so it would make it that way and not suffer and look like crap.

Car quality has reduced also. This is a solid, well built vehicle that doesn't have issues that many newer cars have with over powered and over stressed components.

Alan_Akbar smaller cars may be safer if you hit a stationary object, but if you get into a head on collision with another vehicle (especially one that’s bigger) it doesn’t fair as well

Cio Dokop i just bought 1 at 16. My first car for 1400

I almost bought one but ended up buying a 07 Honda Accord with 91k miles for $3000 which seemed like a sweet deal at first. So far I've spent $1800 in repairs so far, it leaks on the inside when it rain in the back seat, the trunk won't stay up unless you hold it, rear passenger door won't open from the inside, gives of this burning smell when I occasionally floor it (i suspect either an oil leak or the clutch is wearing out thanks to the previous owner) and is so boring to drive now I'm trying to sell that and I'm definitely getting one of these or if I can find a Pontiac Bonneville that's in decent shape.
