During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of KZfaq!

I have the Acadia which replaced this. It’s not as versatile but it has that truck like look while maintaining that smooth crossover ride. One of the most upscale yet rugged midsize SUVs you can get! I wouldn’t even trade it for a forerunner bc that has a less upscale cabin from my model year and not as Roomy as the 2015

This combines two of the favorite cars my mom and stepdad has owned. My mom had gotten a 2002 Envoy SLT in 2019. Very reliable truck.. Thing that happened was, my mom had never changed the oil in it and ended up having an oil leak. Not long after, the Envoy had an idle issue and wouldn't threaten to stay running. Not long after that, the Envoy had a blown motor. It then was towed away after sitting for a long time. Then, my stepdad had gotten his 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. It's a reliable truck. Even if it's based off the Silverado, it has some features that make that truck special. Like the removable back window or the three removable tops on the top of the bed. Or how about the storage compartments you can lock outside. And the Avalanche has the same motor as this. The Envoy XUV. The two trucks combined, both Envoy and Avalanche, make a great vehicle. R.I.P Envoy SLT 2002-2020.

as a former driver of the 2004 XUV, i can easily this is the most versatile vehicle ever built. it is the most useful as it could be used for hauling, offroading, cruising, working.... i had the exact the exact same color of interior and exetrior minus the V8. mine was a 6 cylinder vortec. my only complain was the gauges that malfunctioned frequently. i had issues wih the fuel gauge as well as the tachometer. thanks for the review i was lookin forward for someone to make a detailed review about this vehicle and hen u did it.

This is exactly what I want! I tote a lot around and love the versatility of the XUV model. I drive an SLT envoy and I love it, but I wish I had something bigger. Driving the envoy, one thing that bothers me is the cup holder situation. The smaller cup holder close to the radio is such a pain. If I get an XUV, one thing I'm going to do is get trip from a SLT or Denali and put it in because I prefer a "wood" interior. Just a luxury option that makes me feel better lol! I do wish there was the possibility of having a third row like the XL, but keeping the uniqueness of the XUV. I'd try to get one with a sunroof as well! Haha

Prepare yourself for a long search. It took a year for me to find my 05 Trailblazer with the V8, the later year models 05+ had the cylinder deactivation feature (or Active Fuel Management), that would shut off 4 cylinders when not under load (it was like a minute on/off or so) where it cycles between V4/V8 mode. Downside is there's a chance with age/miles the cylinder will collapse and you'll need to pull the heads to replace them all. (Happened to me a month ago, its fixed now haha). Looking past that small issue, the engine still pulls strong, has the power when you need it and is very versatile as far as modifications go.
@DexDexD3x
@DexDexD3x 8 жыл бұрын
If you don't mind going a bit bigger in vehicle size, the 4.8/5.3 Yukon/Tahoe of those years are a good choice; those iron block LS engines last forever. I think the 4.8 has a somewhat stronger crank too? Don't quote me on that, but I've heard a few others mention it before. Only real issues I've seen with those is the interior being kinda "meh" and the transmission having issues if you go hard on it 24/7.
@DexDexD3x
@DexDexD3x 8 жыл бұрын
True there, and they both make near about the same power stock. Also after looking into it a bit, the 4.8 does actually have a really great crank. Those engines are definitely cheap and reliable, and make plenty of power on a budget.

My mom has a 2006 GMC Envoy XL. Our Combined MPG is 17. It's Burgundy and has 194k miles. The both back doors creak. We have to replace the Oxygen Sensor and there's a tapping as soon as we turn the car on in the passenger back inside panel. Ours is the V6 XL version. The back center console cup holders are easy to break and the TV/DVD system sometimes works. Believe me I love it because we've had it since new and they are our miles. The Car also has electric issues. The passenger side outlet when you plug your phone in, it buzzes out the radio where you can't listen to it. And for fun we added a 2foot light bar to the front.

Before I bought my 03 XL 5.3L, I saw an XUV on the road and didn't know what I could make of it. Didn't dislike it or like it. It had a very unique look to it. As I see more of them on the road, I kind of regret not buying an XUV now, but still happy with my XL nonetheless. The cargo area is aweome in the XUV

My wife and I have owned this vehicle since 2007 and its been the very best vehicle we've ever owned hands down. and with 180,000 on the 5300 vortec have been all over the country driven through every type of weather and conditions and with the two of us alone we sleep in the back at camp sites and open the roof and enjoy nature regularly in the Ca mountains. the dash and interior has not one crack giving we live in the high desert well designed materials hold up well. also pulls anything with ease from horse trailer to car haulers and our 2012 25ft summit camper safely. i want another low mileage just like it and there priced very well compared to anything. this Envoy XUV is the best kept secret since area 51. enjoy!

I couldn't afford one when the first came out, but my wife just told me to get an SUV or a truck, as I was recently car shopping, and so I bought the XUV! I'm loving it, and it's definitely the most versatile vehicle that I've ever owned. (My wife and I have owned about 25 different vehicles, including a conversion van.) Our dog loves his bed iand all of the space in the back of the XUV.

I have a 2006 GMC Envoy XL SLT, with the I6 4.2L, which I bought used about 6 months ago. At first I had some mixed feelings about it, but the more I drive it, the more I love it. It's a really great, sturdy, high quality vehicle, and the 4 wheel drive is great for winter driving. I've gotten a lot of compliments about it, it's 10 years old, and a lot of people ask me if it's a brand new vehicle! That's how well-built they are.

I just turned 16 in august and I was given a 2005 GMC Envoy SLE 4X4 with the 4.2 inline 6 and I'm really nervous with it do you have any advice with it? I get my permit next month or so.

Hey David, wow, that's great they gave you a GMC Envoy! Is it the regular length or the XL? I really don't think there's anything to be nervous about, I'm sure you're going to love it. Of course you want to be careful with it just because it's a really nice vehicle. Maybe just a couple things to keep in mind are that it's higher off the ground, so you have to go slower around corners, otherwise it can feel wobbly if you take your turns too fast. Also, as with all 4x4's, you should only use the 4 wheel drive in snowy or icy conditions, or else sand and gravel (rain is iffy, but probably not). Definitely not on dry pavement, that will put too much stress on the drivetrain. But I'm really happy to hear you'll be driving a GMC Envoy, welcome to the family! :)

+Alessandro Jaker mine is the regular envoy with leather it maybe the base model the originally came with cloth and the previous owner did leather upholstery :) my old fourth grade teacher gave it to me for free for my 16th birthday it's soooo comfy I fall asleep in it sometimes after I park it in the driveway haha

Wow, that was really nice of your teacher to give that to you. Yeah they are very durable vehicles so even if something needs replacing (like the upholstery) the rest of the vehicle will last for years and years. Anyways, really glad you're enjoying it. Have fun!

lol yeah thats why I wanted put the meat of the Audible information towards the end of the video so it wouldn't interrupt the viewing experience. I am hoping to do more videos like this in the future so I can avoid all the beginning and mid-roll ads!

Hello. Just purchased a 2004 Chevrolet Envoy 8 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, leather interior power seats, heated too. But the window motor to separate the back seats from the truck bed. Anyone have an idea how much a motor may cost?
