After that race Valentino said "Gibernau will never win another race" (and so it was. This race is the last Gibernau first place in career).

Yamaha m1 riders have to be very skilled with corner entry/exit because lack of power is unable to compensate if Yamaha M1 riders is not faster around the corner or made a tiny mistake unlike ducati and Honda are able to accelerate quickly than Yama. Ducati have always been superior at straight and had been easily swallowing yamaha m1 by coming from back.
