Better for crankshaft and engine itself, higher rpms better oil pressure, if rmps lowed not good oul pressure bad for engine...

My firsr car was also an Golf V 1.9 TDI, with the BLS Engine. Had a stage 1 tune with 146hp and 325nm. Reached 225kmh, but then reached the rev limiter 😂 Was such a nice car. Miss it sometimes

BLS is the last 1.9 tdi revision, appeared by the end of it's production, in 2008. I had one too, paired with a f@cked upDSG 7 speed (yes, 7 speed) Engine rod braring broke at 173 000 km.. sad

Very short gearing i guess, my 120 hp car has the rev limiter at like 5500 RPM 300 km/h so with 6th gear (it's a diesel and redline starts at 5000 RPM)
