So....in the interest of being honest, I didn't watch the entire video. At about the 1:38 mark when you said, "Just so you know, this is not an easy job. You will be here ALL DAY LONG," that was enough for me! I was debating about doing this job with my Focus, but that valuable bit of info made up my mind for me. I'm sure your clip was filled with a lot of valuable knowledge that was useful to others, but there is no way I have the time or patience for this repair. I know it will be expensive at the local mechanics shop, but oh well. Thanks again, and good luck in the future!

I just got done tackling this job after watching your video. Thanks! I did however notice that in my 2006 the power steering reservoir has been relocated to a front location. Also instead of disconnecting the bottom motor mount, I spread the gap with a bottle jack. I didn't remove the tire either. Took about 3 hours because an old buddy dropped by and we spent more time shooting bull than working.

Hey Scott thank you so much for KZfaq video that got me through that job and you were right it was a mother and it took about six hours but the tip on taking that engine mount off I would’ve never thought to do that So a big thanks again

I'm currently involved in this hell. If I get the old alt out tonight, I'm good to do the new install tomorrow. I fricken hate cars. I'd rather build a computer.

lots easier to pull the front mount bolts , move the motor to the front , comes out the top

The reason you stripped all your bolts is there 15 is all of them.

does anyone know what that wire he unhooked at about 4:13 to 4:45 is? Some varmint has eaten through mine and I'm missing the little box/module in the middle of it...would like to replace it but don't know what it is....any help would be appreciated...thanks

Very informational. But im pretty sure the guy with the camera has parkinsons... super shakey
