This was one of the most stressful years of OU football in history. I SCREAMED when the Sooners closed this out.

One thing i admire greatly about kirk herbstreit is when he's working an Ohio St game you would never know he is a former Buckeye. Total professional. Dan Fouts did not possess that attribute when it came to the Ducks.

I was very surprised that Keith Jackson covered this game, it must have been the next to last game he called. I think the January 2006 Rose bowl was his final game. I think he only did west coast games starting in 1999. I guess Oregon’s only loss was to USC that year

The Bomar saga at OU was probably the biggest disappointment of the Stoops era. He had so much potential and clearly needed a much shorter leash.

PAC 12 last 20 years is interesting Oregon been the overall best in my opinion thought never won a natty but usc was so good 2002 to 2007 but I still give Oregon over beat since 2000

This was Keith Jackson's only career appearance on ESPN and was, as a poster below mentioned, the second-to-last game he ever announced.

@@bandinamerica3035 gotcha 👍🏿...yeah it was a disappointing year... but it really wasn't a surprise to me we had lost so much talent from the 2003 and 2004 teams that made 2005- team young and inexperienced
@bandinamerica30352 жыл бұрын
@@johnmanning4097 if you would have told me in 03-04 OU would go 20 years without a national championship I'd have laughed at you. But here we are it's hard being a sooners fan. Lol

We were very good defense but offense sucked at ou in 2005 but nice bowl win next year was the crazy Game at Oregon where the replay booth really screwed us over. This Game was grind out ugly Game in 2006 it was wild offense shootout

@@haenglefurtmoldurbidizer6093 the kid had all the talent in the world to be a All-American quarterback at Oklahoma but I heard off the field he was a jerk full of himself
