Popping out of high gear while driving

I have a 2005 mule and after it warms up, in neutral it revs to extremely high rpm's and I have to shut it down. The last time I had it out I had it in High gear and drove for about 15 minutes, came to a stop and it popped out of gear and went to the high rpm's. Any ideas for a fix? Thank you!

Mine has about an extra 100 hours on it since I posted this video and I think that’s happened to me maybe twice. You really have to ram into gear and if you don’t it will pop out. As soon as you turn the key and it fires throw it gear fast and hard. They are temperamental I know mine does not like the cold and or sitting for an extended period of time. I might do a follow up video to include some of the things I have done since I lasted posted. Overall she is still doing everything I need it to do given it’s age.

Where is the vin on this model I have the same year and model and can’t find the vin for anything

The VIN can be found on the left and or right front frame rail behind the front wheels.

We have two of these mules. They are bullet proof. Let me know of you need help getting the driveline off.

Mine is making a grinding noise and not wanting shift into H at times. L always works but H is hit or miss… what could this be?

Bulletproof my ass, google the dumb things, first five things that come up all happened to mine. The tranny just broke because there is a cast piece between two steel gears that wears the nubs off then makes it pop out of gear. Junk, they also routed the oil vapor line back into the carb which makes them gum up and idle like crap. The wiring harnesses have loose connector pins, etc, etc
