Removal and Installation of the front grill in a 2006 Ford Explorer, all you need for this job is about 10 minutes and a Phillips and flat head screwdriver.

Very good video. The difficulty of getting those 4 bottom clips back in place was substantial for me, but this tutorial definitely helped me get the job done.

Frank Jr. Thanks for the comment, this is an easy upgrade. I got this grill frokm Amazon and it does come in black as well.

I noticed you did not put the bottom clips in because the new grille blocks the access. Any problems with it popping loose?

I did just had to access it from behind, its somewhat of a tight fit for my hand so be prepared.

Does this fit 2006 explorer? Went to Amazon for the grille but saids doesn’t fit. But looking at the car and how you install it, it’s exactly the same spot has the clip and screws… nice grill

2006-10 are all the same. This one is a 2006.

So are the grills interchangeable between the Sport Tracs and a regular 06 Explorer XLT? Because on a lot of websites they say it is not the right part for my 06 XLT but I'm wondering if that's just because it says it is for the Sport Trac. Thoughts??

I would think so, 06 thru 10 are the same front ends.

Yes 06-10 sport tracs share the same front end

@@adamanderson8631 Cool! Thank you for your help. Not sure why a lot of the websites separate the sport trac models 2007 to 2009 from the regular Explorer models 06 to 2010. Now I just have to figure out whether I want to go with black or the original chrome like your video :-)

Picked it up from Amazon, it was under $100.00 it comes in chrome or black.
