Ill show you how to take off the cylinder head on a 2007 Civic with a 1.8L engine.
This can be used to replace head gasket and cylinder head.

How do you know engine damage hasn't already occured? Think that's why you see complete overhaul or swap. But if there is no damage, saves alot of time and money doing it this way. I have same problem. I didn't drive car, but I'm assuming bearing damage has been done already. Replacing it would be waste of time. That's only if doing yourself. Might be cheaper to buy used Japanese engine if you're paying someone. I'm not sure.

At first it just seemed hard. But after I was done it's not bad at all. But then again I wouldn't recommend a beginner trying it. But if you have some knowledge you should be fine

I think it's more because I took my time to do a step by step tutorial rather than talk about what to do and show the job already done. But part 2 has dislikes which sucks but you can never please everyone

@@laketownautorepair336 true true lol... Hey I do have a question for you... How do I know if I have the R18A1 engine? I looked online a bit and it seems that that model engine is for 06-11 (or 12, can't remember) for north American models?

Honestly I dont remember seeing a stamp on the engine with r18a1. But its from years 06-11.

How did you get the O2 sensor off?

You can buy a slimmer o2 sensor socket or you can grind down a cheap 02 sensor socket and get it out

Amigo mi honda le cambié junta de tapa de cilindro y ahora marca P0304 no encuentro la falla es igual al que arreglas en este video

Ese codigo es falla de que el cylindro numero 4. Tienes que ver si las bujillas esten bien y la bombina. Y si estan bien y siguen fallando puede ser que el carro occupe an ajuste de las valvulas o mejor un test de compression para ver de donde esta fallando. Empieza con lo mas basico primera, las bujillas y bombina

I believe.... don’t quote me but I think 06-09 were the r18a1

Pretty sure all 8th Gen Civics 06-11 are R18 with the exception of the Si trim if I remember correctly.

Bro I've been watching videos your videos are cool and I subscribe to you and the Honda car guy cuz I took apart my 2007 Honda Civic 1.8 engine and I specifically told my nephews to be careful and something happened a spring that goes in the head came out and now I don't know where the little piece of metal goes back I don't know what it's called I'm trying to find somebody that's doing it and I can't I have a picture of it but I can't send it to you is there any other way that I can get help it's not the Big Spring it's a spring with the little cap in the back of the cap has a little hole in the middle I don't know where that cap goes in that little spring is there any other way of sending you information or a picture so you can help me cuz I'm really stuck
